  • When a solution is heated, the liquid will evaporate or boil to form vapor. If the liquids are immiscible, then the phase diagram will show equilibrium between the vapor phase and two distinct liquid phases.

      I call it rabbit ears, but yes, I agree that should be the officially accepted terminology for a VLLE diagram of partially miscible liquids

    Thanks alot dear dr.stuat🌹🌹🌹 if i have a stream of water/styrene which is pouring inside the tower, which one of them will act as shell(outer layer) and which one acts as core(inner layer). what property leads us to find this.

      I have no idea, sorry. That sounds like an engineering problem: more to do with the configuration of the plumbing than the properties of the fluids.
