This summer I rescued 7 1985 and 1986 Audi 5000 sedans from being crushed but for everyones talk i have not sold one part off them. There's even two turbo cars... Looks like they're just going to end up crushed afterall. They're in Ontario, Canada if anyone is near enough...
Correct, the first and 2nd ones are indeed both 1982 models as the 10th digit of the VINs are a "C" (plus the emission decals state they are 1982 model year). Possible DB476 Golden Brown exterior paint on #1, and #2 might be code DB737 Classic White exterior paint. The 3rd one is indeed a 1985 as the 10th digit of the VIN is an "F" for the 1985 model year. Possible code DB540 Desert Red exterior paint. The 4th one is a 1987 because the 10th digit of the VIN is an "H" for the 1987 model year. Possible DB900 Surf Blue exterior paint. All of them were assembled at Sindelfingen, Germany.

Now this is just depressing 4 beautiful old Mercs still in good shape getting crushed like GM junk I'd pay $10,000 for all which I am sure is more than the scrap is worth by quite a lot in Russia even crashed I can sell one for double that

That's a lot of depreciation being crushed there. Mercedes or Yugo, they almost all end up in the crusher. regardless of initial price.
