I heard this song just by chance on spotify and ended up using it as a song to disconnect (or disengage) from the fact that 2023 was one of the worst years of my life. I specifically used it as a means to disengage and remove myself from the fact that my Grandma was actively dying and I couldn't do anything about it. This is on all of my playlists, and yet this is the first time in over 10 months that I've been able to fully listen to it again. I have so much love for this song and always will.
If somebody were to ask me how this doesn’t have millions upon millions upon millions of views, there’d be no way I could answer. I don’t typically comment or like videos, but I had to for this one. This young man has so much talent. I am truly amazed.

I've been listening to this song since I heard you sing it on AGT. Well, this morning, my dog passed. I held her until her last breath and I'm completely broken over it. I started to play this song, and the words have all new meaning for me. I know it was the right thing to do, but it will be some time before I'm at peace with what happened. I don't have kids, no wife, no family near by, and no friends since I'm new to the area. Someone's gotta help me
So sorry for the loss of your precious girl. I went through this in March with our old girl and can relate to this difficult time. The good memories will block out the sadness more and more as each day passes. Still, wishing you well through this difficult time.

This song hits so many of us for mostly the same reason. Kieran tells Simon and the other judges that he wrote this as a response to a quite recent bout with depression.
I have depression in my family, luckily I was skipped (maybe?), but these words, these lyrics describe something quite different than depression. This song punches us ALL in the heart when it comes to a break up. Breaking up is probably one of the worst feelings humans can feel. Thank you Kieran for this masterpiece.
Depression brought me here. "Let me sleep in peace" hits close to home. :( more often that not, anxiety is always a package deal with depression.
So impressed with self taught piano playing, singing and song writing. This song is so powerful. Could hear your emotions when you sang it. Moved me to tears.
