Walking in Bad Kissingen

- Bad Kissingen on the southern edge of the Rhön in the Saale Valley is the most famous spa town in Germany with around 22,000 inhabitants. Bad Kissingen has the oldest spa garden and the largest ensemble of historical spa buildings on a European level. Bad Kissingen is one of the most important health resorts in Europe.
On my walk through Bad Kissingen we walk from Maxstraße, along Spitalgasse, over Rathausplatz, past St. Jakobus
kirche to the market square. From there it goes on to the Maxbrunnen. Then through the spa garden and across the Saale to the state casino in Luitpoldpark, where today's walking tour ends.

I was stationed with the US Army in Bad Kissingen from 1986-1991 (when we closed the Kaserne down). It has been 30 years since I was in BK and this made me feel like it was just yesterday. Thank you for such an awesome walk through. It was the first place I went with the Army and I cherish those memories. Watching this, I was saying to myself "Down that street was the Bratwurst stand" and "that place over there had the best weinersnitzel.' So many great memories. Thanks again for this video!

Well clearly our time there overlapped. 88-90 11th Cav. Then 92-95 stationed in Schweinfurt but lived in BK. Loved that little town.
