Yep, I started out on Heidelbergs and Rolands long before they became MAN-Roland. Had bad experiences with the very early Komoris in the late 1970s. I thought they were crap. I also ran a whole variety of web-fed machines, and even a stint on a Shimogaki flat-bed press doing proofing work in the 1980s. That was a crazy job. Then in the mid 2000s, I got involved with the installation and running of a 10 color Komori perfector, just like the video, and I was really impressed. It was by far the most stable, fast, problem free and easy press to run. I was in the Graphic Arts Industry for 36 years. After the GFC, I got out of lithographic printing and spent the next 10 years overseas teaching English. Now retired. Don't miss the pressure at all!
Used to run one of these presses, it didn't like changing from straight to perfect.. ran 14 komori sheet fed presses in my career, now running a GX640 printing cartons.
Great press to run!
