Hi Steve. Another great tour! Thank you. As to your question about the graffiti message: "stop wildfires - go vegan". I'm guessing that the artist's position is that the industry of raising livestock for human consumption produces greenhouse gas = global warming = LA wildfires.
Thank you. That totally makes sense. That just didn’t even occur to me. Quite a few other viewers also Mitch on the same thing. I guess I’m the only one who didn’t get that lol! 🤪🤔
Hey Steve cool video ! If that neckface piece was on canvas it would be worth thousands of dollars. I have a few of his prints and they were not cheap. He’s a famous artist in the skating community.
Some graffiti can indeed be quite artful and esthetically pleasing, but as with anything else: too much of it gets annoying and can become something of a burden. Btw, so envious of you rn! - all these sunny and colorful images!! Where I live, we've been doing without any sunshine for a long while now! As always, thanks for the video, Steve!
Hi Steve from 🇦🇺 gotta say how much I ❤ the diverse topic and places that have been showing in your vlogs. I surprised with the heat in PS all the graffiti doesn’t melt off. lol. Ashley
It's good they have somewhere for graffiti art. I know they have something downtown. Plain walls that can be painted. I think you have to apply or ask to use them. Thank you for your wonderful video. I enjoy them. You and Jim take care.
I love graffiti art. I have a whole album of it on my Pinterest. But I can't believe they tore down the Palm Springs Mall!!! Used to go there all the time as a kid.
I believe the point being made is that the fires are at least in part due to climate change. The production of meat and dairy is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change.
"Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable." -Cesar A. Cruz I love it, gives young folks a place to be creative however they like while keeping the city clean. Also being so close to the art museum maybe one of the artists will get discovered and be the next Banksy.
Loved this ❤ it’s art and I love it Steve and I think it’s just wonderful there’s a proper place for it there ! I wish I could do it my grandson Mason took an art class on it ! ❤
I personally love it, the more political or controversial the better. I also love a clean city so when they can combine the two, so much the better... Every city should have a dedicated blank space for artists to go nuts on just like this...
Yes! Yes! To tht grafitti park! Wow love it! Lots of creative talent! I like to draw & this is specially NEAT! Palm Springs is getting way too COOL! 🖌️🩵🎨💚✍🏻✊🏻‼️
What a great idea to create a graffiti park to set aside that area for legal painting plus a task force for illegal tagging! If it is removed immediately, it's almost not worth doing. Probably cameras cut down a lot of the tagging. I'm guessing you know more about Palm Springs than most residents. Up in the high desert about 14 miles from town on a dirt road, one of the abandoned cabins near me was tagged. It took locals less than a week to paint over it and the repaint was kinda artistic.
There are some cities/towns that actually invite artists to paint the blank, boring sides of buildings. Not really 'graffiti' like one did a huge Yellow Submarine Beatles piece and it was lovely! If done well, it can add some color and vibrance. Another great video, Steve have a nice day!
Other communities that have tried graffiti parks noticed spillover graffiti into neighboring areas, with artists tagging mailoxes, power poles, bridges, trucks.
Oh wow, that’s interesting. Thanks for sharing that with us Bob. I guess it doesn’t surprise me. If that happens here, we’ve got our graffiti task force and hotline waiting in the wings lol! 😄👍
I love graffiti art! When I was in sixth grade, I was safety patrol leader at Cathedral city elementary school. My main. “job” was to alert the office for any graffiti. This included the boys bathroom. Lol! I had to have a teacher stand guard when I went into the bathroom. I have always loved graffiti art. I have dabbled in it, in the past, so, I am really interested in the park. I might have to leave my mark, when I come visit next time.🤣❤️ (I will look into the rules and regulations, of course)
@ I sure will! I actually texted my brother, yesterday after watching your video and letting him know what I wanna do when I come to town. Lol! He’s excited and is looking into the rules of us being able to spray paint over there. When we do, I will take a picture and I will definitely message you and let you know. We’re kind of excited about it! When we were kids, it was illegal!😂🤣🤪
It’s nice to see it’s still there for art in 2018 have pictures they’ve added to it great thing Palm Springs takes care it in places it shouldn’t be besides there nice ❤
Show idea for you Steve ... Trixie Motel, its history and the current motel. They never covered much on history during the Trixie renovation show, might be interesting!
I love that idea, I have always said they need to allow these artists a venue. Our city is always ready to arrest artists and fine property owners with graffiti. It just makes sense to make open air galleries where they can be creative! I love flamingos too, I put out 25 sets in my garden in the summer, I have theme ones for holidays. So much fun!
Hi Steve! Well, I guess the graffiti is ok, but I’ve never been a fan of it 😮. I see it and it immediately screams ghetto to me. But I enjoy all of your videos!
Going vegan wouldn't prevent those fires. A good land management program with controlled burns periodically will help lessen the impact of the fires. It clears out the forest floor giving less fuel for the wildfires.
I love some graffiti artists like Keith Haring, the Brit Banksy, ect... Their art could fetch millions. But at the same time. I don't like artists that deface either. I sound like a hypocrite. Because most hieroglyphic art through the centuries, like Egyptians to Native-Americans did leave their tag while defacing the natural landscape.
I would graffiti your videos, but RUclips frowns upon that sort of behavior! Talk about wet blankets?! 😂❤ It’s not like I’d be walking a dog on your videos! I’m not an animal!
Steve to me that park is disgusting and needs to be removed just my take. Would rather see Native American art work displayed, they are the foundation for PS.

Hi Steve, Love when you take us all over Palm Springs. I look forward to each time. I would love to visit sometime. Have a great day.🌞🦩
Thank you so much Karen. Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏😊
They're some really talented artists. I think it's a good idea to have a space for artists.

Thanks Ann! 😄👍
Hi Steve! Another Beautiful day in Palm Springs!! Thanks for sharing!!
Very nice thank you for sharing I've never seen anything like this before
Such a cool thing. Graffiti Park!
Thanks for the video. You and those pink flamingos! Always makes me think of our pink house growing up.
😆👍🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
Great video and thanks for sharing.
Hey Steve cool video ! If that neckface piece was on canvas it would be worth thousands of dollars. I have a few of his prints and they were not cheap. He’s a famous artist in the skating community.
I had no idea. Thanks for sharing that with us Jeoffrey! 😄👍

Sorry to hear that George. Hopefully spring will arrive soon for you. 😎👍
Interesting video. What a unique idea for a park. Thanks for sharing.😊
Wow beautiful Graffiti!!! That looks like Art ☺️
I agree John! 😄👍

Lol that’s a good point about the heat! 😎🥵
Enjoy your videos. I spent some time in the desert back in the eighties. I know it's changed a lot and grown a lot. Had some great times there though.
Glad you have some good memories from your time here! 😄👍
It's good they have somewhere for graffiti art. I know they have something downtown. Plain walls that can be painted. I think you have to apply or ask to use them. Thank you for your wonderful video. I enjoy them. You and Jim take care.

What a great place to live. Just gorgeous there! Thanks Steve!
😎👍
I love graffiti art. I have a whole album of it on my Pinterest. But I can't believe they tore down the Palm Springs Mall!!! Used to go there all the time as a kid.
I used to go there too, but it was always so empty. It was kind of sad. 🙁
Great video
I believe the point being made is that the fires are at least in part due to climate change. The production of meat and dairy is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change.
Ok now that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up K! 👍
Ask Elon Musk about that, he will change your mind

Thank you! 😊
Love the tour. Did you see the one saying Don't Mess With Jim . Lol 😂
Lol I missed that one! 😳😂👍
@steveinpalmspringsca yup Jim.Croce even wrote a song about him. 😆
Yes! Yes! To tht grafitti park! Wow love it! Lots of creative talent! I like to draw & this is specially NEAT!
Palm Springs is getting way too COOL!
🖌️🩵🎨💚✍🏻✊🏻‼️

I love that idea of having a graffiti hotline!! Some of it is beautiful when in its proper place. I enjoyed this Steve. Thank you!!😊
😄👍

That nice that the locals pitched in to take care of it ER! 👍
@6:50 that's called a DJ mixer pad, that's used by DJS to mix different sounds :)
Lol thanks Chris! 😆👍
Love Flamingos...thanks Steve
Good morning Steve leaving soon will not today but here soon for Springfield, Illinois
I really enjoyed that Steve. Most of it was pretty fun. 😃
😄👍
Some of it looks cool. It’s American Graffiti at its best!! So very colorful, the way it’s displayed. Nice area there! 🌞🎨💥🌵🎍🌴💚💛
😎👍

That’s so cool. They need more surfaces in that park for people to tag on.
Looks like art!!!
I agree 😄👍
That's really cool!

Hi DS, I already shared a Trixie motel video a couple of years ago on this channel. Thanks for the suggestion. 😄👍
@steveinpalmspringsca OMG I have to go try and find it, how exciting!
Crazy, are there any other malls in Palm Springs?
Not in the city. The only mall in the desert now is in Palm Desert.
LOL! Shoutout to those pink flamingos 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
Lol 😂🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

That’s awesome DS. I’m definitely gonna have to get some pink flamingos for our yard too. 😄🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩👍
Hi Steve love the graffiti park...I thought graffiti was bad words and drawings and murals was the good art...who knew eh.....thanks.. Deborah 🇨🇦
This kind of combines both 😄👍
Hi Steve! Well, I guess the graffiti is ok, but I’ve never been a fan of it 😮.
I see it and it immediately screams ghetto to me. But I enjoy all of your videos!
Looks like crap to me❤️
😄👍
To me it makes it look trashy. Plan springs is always nice and clean.
Its 1/23/25 here in NC and its 26* right now! Low tonight 14*...
🥶
I think having a graffiti park is great. It really is a wonderful artform.
I went to Walmart yesterday and I got regular Gatorade sugar. That’s what I like for 799 versus Publix which was 9.99 for a six pack of both places
👍
some of these taggers are very good artists.
I love 🦩 💗
Back in Black is an AC/DC song. Nice idea of them to have a spot for graffiti artists. 😊
Going vegan wouldn't prevent those fires. A good land management program with controlled burns periodically will help lessen the impact of the fires. It clears out the forest floor giving less fuel for the wildfires.
Thanks for letting me know, Virginia 😄👍
@steveinpalmspringsca You're welcome! Not only do I listen to rock music but I do listen to some heavy metal rock as well. 😁
Each other their own
🦩🦩
❤ Ask Mason, he’s Vegan, he might know what that message means.
👍

I know what you mean Rocky 😳😄👍
I would graffiti your videos, but RUclips frowns upon that sort of behavior! Talk about wet blankets?! 😂❤ It’s not like I’d be walking a dog on your videos! I’m not an animal!
😆
Try eating at Clandestino when they're spraying 😷 Not a pleasant experience.
?
The aerosol vapors smell like nail polish and they waft across the air into the restaurant. It's off putting when you're trying to enjoy a meal 🤮
Steve to me that park is disgusting and needs to be removed just my take. Would rather see Native American art work displayed, they are the foundation for PS.
Not a favorite.
Looks horrible. Sad. Very sad.
It seems that viewers either love or hate it. Guess that's better than not caring at all. Thanks for sharing Joel.

Thanks for sharing that Elizabeth. That makes a lot of sense. I hadn’t even thought about that. 😄👍
