You are mostly right, that's what happens when the shadow merges with Em, but before that, the shadow was born out of and represented the criticism Em received for his latest music which was reflective and insightful; Em gives in to the criticism and merges with it becoming Shady once again. It also happened when he first started, he mentioned it plenty of times, people were not interested and he had to switch his style (makes me feel like i don't belong or something ooh think i have stumbled onto something new // courageous balls, had to change my style // crazy part as soon as i started saying i don't give a ish haters started to appreciate my art)
Stepping on his own Revival album at the end, sadly, we might never get serious down to earth insightful content Revival had ever again
