I've been thinking of adding hemp oil to my smoothies to get the maximum benefit for my hair and body. I tried it on my hair alone and it was okay. But I bet ingesting it would be better
I was skeptical about the pre-poo method, but I thought I would try it out. I used my own mix of oils the day before my wash. Amazing! my hair was so soft after shampoo and rinse out conditoner. Hair stayed soft for two weeks even after two more shampoos and two co-wash. I'm gonna try the elixir next time.
@@213peachey that's another thing. I've never done those methods either and my hair's been growing. I actually tried the prepoo last year and find it hard to even wash it out. My hair would still have felt oily after I washed it. It didn't feel comfortable with me so that's why I haven't done it since. So maybe it's not for me 😓😓😓
Pretha Thom I understand, it's good to know your routine is working for you. The goal is to have moist hair when it is dry, so washing it out is not the intention. But if your routine is working for you and your hair is growing, that is awesome. Also, oils offer a plethora of healthy hair benefits as well as moisturizing and keeps your hair from being stripped from its natural oils while shampooing.
Hi, Amber, thanks for the pre-poo tip with oils. I didn't do it with the oils you recommended or a dryer but I did heat the oils & put a plastic cap on my head after application. I allowed it to sit on my head while I ran some errands for like 30 minutes to an hour. This allowed my hair to lather up effortlessly without using so much shampoo. It didn't take my hair long to get wet also. I have low porosity hair also.
Wow!! I can't say enough. Your hair is so beautiful! Whatever you are doing to your hair keep doing it. I'm following your techniques and hoping that my hair will be as beautiful and healthy as yours. My texture is different but good habits and loving my hair will make it beautiful. Thanks Amber.
I love most of the ingredients in the oil mix except hemp seed oil. I have a sensitivity to hemp seed oil. I caused alot of inflammation on my scalp and hair loss. So friends I think when you try out a new oil, do a patch test on your skin or scalp. Thank you for the video it is helpful.
If you're still having issues with dandruff try incorporating a little tea tree & peppermint oil in your regular oil mix. It really worked for me. I used to struggle with dandruff so bad but ever since I started mixing those 2 oils in my regular mix it's since such a big difference!! Just be careful because those oils are essential oils & need to be diluted. So just a couple drops in your regular mix should do the trick. My personal scalp oil mix contains coconut oil, olive oil, jbco, baobab oil, & then a little bit of peppermint & tea tree oil. Hope that helps someone!! Love your personality & your videos ❤️
