Mount Carmel Monastery to be Renovated into Boutique Hotel - Wheeling, WV

Father and son developers, Jeff and Jeffrey Morris of Roxby Development, have taken on a renovation project of the Monastery on Carmel Rd in Wheeling, WV. Previous owners converted the monastery into an apartment building, hiding much of the original architecture of the building. The Morris’s explain their plan to uncover that original beauty as they renovate it into a boutique hotel, complete with a restaurant, bar and venue.

Yeah the update is Jeffery is awaiting trial for tax evasion and ripping investors off. Among other things. Not sure about Jeff

Born and raised in Wheeling. Always intrigued with the beautiful buildings and architecture there, especially this building. The stories of the Nuns that lived there was fascinating and sad. Would love to see and update somewhere. Thanks.

I remember taking supplies to the Nuns when I was a kid. You could never see them. "Pastor" Frank Wise took over and lived there after the Nuns left.
