Only way to defend the fadeaway was to foul, but then again, he was a sharp shooter, i remember Westbrook getting ejected because he cannot stop him and Dirk taunts him non stop. 😂

Players will never understand how confidence inspiring Dirk Nowitzki is. There is never a chance when he gets the ball, does a few spins, and fades away with his knee in your face that you question if it will go in. You feel that it will never miss. That Dirk is just too good. His movements are so fluid that you never know if its humanly possible to contort your body at such a steep angle and rainbow all the shots in - just like he does with ease. Dirk's statue will be iconic, and his style and work ethic will be missed by all these younger players.
#30 would have been one of the all time great shots in NBA Finals history if the refs didn't give Dwayne Wade two free throws to win the game. If the Mavs win Game 5 they probably win the title in 2006.
I don't understand why Duncan is considered by many to be the greatest all-time PF. Obviously his defense was better, but Dirk is the 6th all-time leading scorer in NBA history! One of the most dynamic scorers the NBA has ever seen. There's never been another 7 footer who can make the shots he makes.
This might be the most unspectacular highlight I have ever seen. But that just shows you how effective and incredibly good Dirk was. No fancy Dunks, Layups, circus Shots. He knew what he was good at and that's what he did. That's what makes him one of the best Players in NBA History.

He is basically the father of how the game is played today defensively and offensively i think u can defenently say tim had a better carrer but dirk has a bigger legacy and i think he was the better player from the two.

Players will never understand how confidence inspiring Dirk Nowitzki is. There is never a chance when he gets the ball, does a few spins, and fades away with his knee in your face that you question if it will go in. You feel that it will never miss. That Dirk is just too good. His movements are so fluid that you never know if its humanly possible to contort your body at such a steep angle and rainbow all the shots in - just like he does with ease.
Dirk's statue will be iconic, and his style and work ethic will be missed by all these younger players.
#30 would have been one of the all time great shots in NBA Finals history if the refs didn't give Dwayne Wade two free throws to win the game.

I don't understand why Duncan is considered by many to be the greatest all-time PF. Obviously his defense was better, but Dirk is the 6th all-time leading scorer in NBA history! One of the most dynamic scorers the NBA has ever seen. There's never been another 7 footer who can make the shots he makes.

This might be the most unspectacular highlight I have ever seen. But that just shows you how effective and incredibly good Dirk was. No fancy Dunks, Layups, circus Shots. He knew what he was good at and that's what he did. That's what makes him one of the best Players in NBA History.

Man.. I remember their 2011 championship run more than any other runs. I was in middle school and was rooting for the Heat, just like most of my peers who loved flashy plays and highflying dunks. Every possession where he got the ball on the post felt like a sure basket. Most unstoppable fade away I've ever seen. And now, KAT's going around calling himself the greatest shooting big man in the league, lmao.

I'm 31 and love Dirk. He was a big figure for me growing up playing ball. I'd say that imo Dirk has the most beautiful shot. His turn around fade is perfect literally. I can watch Dirk shoot all day.
