That one ring Dirk has is priceless. He could have done it the easy way by leaving Dallas, joining Kobe with LA, or by joining any other superstar to form their own super team but no. He did it his way, and got that sweet 2011 team over the super team of the Heat. He may not have as much rings as the other greats, but that 2011 ring is more than enough to make him a top 10 NBA player of this era. #Swish41DallasMVP

Still can't believe there were people who used to say Dirk wasn't clutch and couldn't hit the big shot. He's been doing it his entire career. Even before he won a championship.
A humble, intellectual, powerhouse with incredible mechanics, insane decision making, a hammer for a right-side drive in dunk, ridiculous 3-pt success rate for a PF, and near unstoppable mid-range pull up and fade-aways.
This dude will be missed in so many ways... A guy who worked so hard that he accomplished the maximum for his career. I was just so happy for him when he got his championship, not only one of the all time greats but a fantastic human being as well, a role model on many levels. Dirk did way more dunks than I thought :-) But he's already clearly a legend because of his step back one leg fadeaway. He has definitely to be in the hall of fame!
Getting to 30,000 points and beating lebron in his prime (only time lebron lost with the best team) made Dirk one of the all time greats But I just saw him break a dudes ankles with a high-post pivot THIS GUY IS IMMORTAL
Players will never understand how confidence inspiring Dirk Nowitzki is. There is never a chance when he gets the ball, does a few spins, and fades away with his knee in your face that you question if it will go in. You feel that it will never miss. That Dirk is just too good. His movements are so fluid that you never know if its humanly possible to contort your body at such a steep angle and rainbow all the shots in - just like he does with ease. Dirk's statue will be iconic, and his style and work ethic will be missed by all these younger players.
I'm 31 and love Dirk. He was a big figure for me growing up playing ball. I'd say that imo Dirk has the most beautiful shot. His turn around fade is perfect literally. I can watch Dirk shoot all day.
You can just see that Dirk has been in the game so long he can predict every movement and just hammer those hard shots. That's some serious experience.
This might be the most unspectacular highlight I have ever seen. But that just shows you how effective and incredibly good Dirk was. No fancy Dunks, Layups, circus Shots. He knew what he was good at and that's what he did. That's what makes him one of the best Players in NBA History.
Dirk has been such a good player for so long, we can't forget him. He might be going away this year. It might be his last 14 games so appreciate him. Because when he is gone, I don't think there would be anyone else who would be as great as he was for the Mavs. He was the only star in that 2011 championship.
I've waited 10 years to see Dirk! I'm planning on going to watch him play before the seasons over! He's the GOAT of Bigmen and Euro players. #Mavs4Life

Only way to defend the fadeaway was to foul, but then again, he was a sharp shooter, i remember Westbrook getting ejected because he cannot stop him and Dirk taunts him non stop. 😂
