It is one if not the oldest art on the planet, because even late into the bronze age age there are individual pieces that are found with incredible detail, even entire sword length pieces of flint and rock mimicking the bronze swords which were poured instead of napped using large amounts of time and skill. Next time I'll be more specific.
@@nowknowI didn't know that, it does make me feel better. Thanks!
Its undeniably cool, just feel bad that all that pretty opal got shattered, hopefully the shards were used well.
If it makes you feel better, opalite is "synthetic opalescent glass" so it's man-made and not real opal at all, just pretty looking
I ate them all
It’s not opal, opalite is synthetic material

looks like a god tier item you would find in an rpg after raiding a dungeon. Im pretty sure it would be named something like “The Ocean’s Song” or something. Cool stuff
Something would make a good item name
“The Midnight Ocean Beasts Bright Blue Deep Sea God Piercing Spear” is much better😁
I like ur creativity ❤
it gives me "iridescent" or "celestial" spear vibes

I really like these videos because I always thought it was kinda crazy how even centuries ago spear were so sharp / advanced when the tools to make them wasn’t, but then I see your videos doing spear head with random materials and basic tools, makes me remember the (really) old days too ig

This spear deals 2x frost damage
EPIC SPEAR
Flintknapping on obsidian has always been my favourite to watch, now opalite is right up there alongside obsidian.
It gives me anxiety because you can’t make Pretty spears out of all of the excess that falls off of it
Hunters of the village doing tutorials for the rest of the tribe:
This has to be the most beautiful rock I’ve ever seen
Well actually opal is a mineral
You’re both technically in the wrong this isn’t Opal. This is opalite. It’s a man made glass.
WOW, that's beautifully crafted! Great job! 😊❤😊
*_This right here is the unequivocal epitome of ancient dying art! Sheer talent right here!_*
I think you mean…. Spear talent.

That's literally the most beautiful material I've ever seen. I didn't even know it existed.

This one's honestly way too beautiful to use, both the material's iridescent effect and your arrow shape crafting.
I have one it’s very weak and chips off easily
@@Little_Guy-1 just another reason why it shouldn't be used.
The confidence to do that on ur leg is crazy
I think its wonderful that people like you still know how to do this. Our ancestors would be proud, and its a wonderful skill to have if shtf happens.
i was not expecting the spear head to look THAT good on the sun
dude is part of the 1000 people who would easily survive in the stone age
Dude my animal brain fr went ‘mmm looks cronchy’ and I had to catch myself 😂😂😂😂
The fact that people can do this, is crazy to me. It's such a unique and beautiful craft, I love seeing these.
It's also literally the oldest craft on the planet.
Even non-human species in all likelihood did this before we figured out how to separately, homo habilis, homo erectus, very famously the Clovisman culture that absolutely annihilated the megafauna allowing it to be more inhabitable by species of our soft squishy demeanor, chromagnin man, homo neanderthalensis or Neanderthals, and homosapias sapias, which is us.
It is one if not the oldest art on the planet, because even late into the bronze age age there are individual pieces that are found with incredible detail, even entire sword length pieces of flint and rock mimicking the bronze swords which were poured instead of napped using large amounts of time and skill. Almost as if to say that ain't so cool, I can do that too.
God I love Clovis point.
