Relating your bad attitude to bad breath in a social situation is poetic brilliance. Thank you. It's actually very helpful. Honestly even a good method for teaching children to gather themselves before presenting themselves. And yes adults need this too. Adults are just big children anyways.

Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist was stand up animated (very cheaply animated). Every episode featured 2 guests, who were exclusively stand-ups, and they would do material while the scenarios were animated. The Brian Regan episode is one of the best, and they are all on youtube.
With regards to animating a special to bypass modern scrutiny. Rotoscope the whole set. Essentially it could look like the old Aha video "take on me" Details of facial expressions and crowd would be preserved in color. You should run with that idea Mark. Keep up the Great work guys.

Two recs related to Mark's The Bear rec: Boiling Point (2021) and Ants on a Shrimp (2016) which is about the restaurant Bear worked at.
Another great restaurant show is Raw (2008-2013). There are 5 seasons, it's bloody brilliant.
