i just got the interest in cloud
Please like, comment, sub, and share. Help me keep this stuff free :)
Started my cloud journey a little over a week ago. Always been interested in tech, never worked in it. I am currently taking a course for aws cloud architect now. I can honestly say I've never been so excited to sit down and learn something new. I dropped out of college a couple years ago because I felt stifled by having to sit in a classroom and learn arbitrary subjects I don't care about and pay thousands to do so (I did go the community college route before doing so, so I saved thousands there). We'll see what the future holds
How is your journey going so far?
this didnt help us with shit!
how is it going
Not so excited any more, eh?

Such brilliant and useful info. Loved and instantly bought the diagram, will be a big poster in my room that :)
I am at the very start of building a cloud career and currently in a bootcamp which I personally think we just scratch the surface and still there are big gaps but MY GOD you delivered it well, you literally answered thousands of current questions and potential thousands that I never thought of asking. You are brilliant, carry on!!!
This is soo on point, thank youu. I'm new the industry and I've been inspired by you to dig deeper into Devops while learning on the job as a backend dev using TS & C#. Came from working as an amazon warehouse associate
You are easily one of the better channels on YT for guidance when it comes to breaking into cloud. I appreciate you taking the time to do this.
So glad your channel is growing. Fantastic video as always.
Thank you so much!
Began my classes back in February, and I’ve felt confident about since then. This is so helpful and insightful, I’ve already watched through a few other videos as well!
Hello GPS. Thank you for the great video. This was really useful.
I used to work in a different career as a paralegal, then recently was a Software Engineer, but now I’m trying to get into a role within cloud/devops.
After attending a tech conference, I decided I really wanted to work in this field, and found your channel while researching. I was also one of the many people laid off at the company I was working for, so now I’m free to pursue my passion.
Thank you for the amazing content so far. It has been really useful, informative and inspiring.
Thank you very much GPS

Hi there! I saw your video recommendation on RUclips. I have over 15 years of experience in IT operations work and some programming, mostly for game development. Now I'm interested in transitioning to cloud computing. I'm hoping your video will provide a good roadmap to help me get started in the cloud industry. Your recommendations seem really helpful. Thanks for putting together such an informative video!

Hey GPS, first thank you so much for the work and time you put to deliver to us all this content for free, 2nd, i am a self taught sys admin for the past 2+ decades. At the beginning of this year, i decided to shift into cybersecurity, and going deeper into it, i got convinced that i should specialize in cloud security, so what you are doing here is a great push for me, cant thank you enough, and 3rd you are so genuine and authentic in what you do, please keep it like that
Hopefully this is helpful. Thanks for the kind words. Phase 5 of learn to cloud guide has a good intro to cloud security.
Thanks for keeping it post, Gwyneth.
Thank you so much for this solid step by step guide will definitely follow.
I think we just scratch the surface, here, and still there are some gaps, but Gwen delivers it with mad heart.
As always, a wealth of knowledge and experience for anybody considering a cloud related profession. Gwyneth Rocks! ❤
Appreciate you.
New sub. Thank you for this content. 😊
Thank you, most valuable cloud video I have come across - much to be admired - ❤ from 🇬🇧
i know you said these whiteboard videos aren't poppin off like some others but this is your sleeper content, so good.
thank you, GPS
Thank you for sharing this helps a lot.
Thanks, Gwyneth this is very informative and great guidance to start. I have experience in the field I am looking to transition into data cloud. I am subscriber now your advice on learning bash is so amazing and valuable I am following your plans.
04:00 this is so true. I live in Morocco and you couldn't even reach certain roles, especially engineering roles, if you didn't have a degree beforehand. I'm a computer science student on a cybersecurity internship but I have been getting more and more interested in cloud and devops, your channel is a gold mine of information!
Yes indeed. Most people in the US have never lived in a place where degrees are pretty much always required for many reasons. Thanks for the support!
Wow. Just stumbled on you and your channel. You are my mentor. You are a blessing. Thank you!
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for sharing and for your advice
I'm currently in an AWS RE/START PROGRAM, and I love it. I just watched your video on how you would learn cloud engineer today, and I understood every break down you made based off what we are learning in the class.
Great to hear!
Thank you so much for this guide
Thanks a lot for sharing this with us, Gwyneth, for real. I have been struggling with my possible paths, and having this whole overview really really helped me.
Come to Brazil, i'll pay u a beer!

Thank you for this!
Very comprehensive video , thank you gave me a better understanding , I am a recent graduate in IT but very confused , convinced to start with the help desk support role , lessense the overwhelming feeling of reading and being confused between multiple technologies mentioned on the internet

Hi Gwyneth, much love from Nigeria. A software dev. trying to switch to Cloud. You're one of my inspirators.
Thank you!
Amazing content!
great stuff .. keep it up ..
Thank you GPS!
Amazing!
Great content.
Great video on Cloud engineer pathway
Glad you liked it!
The exact topic I was looking for and it was posted an hour ago hahaha how perfect!
I am personally trying to figure out a decent paying job in tech with a very low barrier to entry that i can work at while I work on the longer road to getting into cloud. I was suggested to look into scrum master? I just need a decent salary to sustain me and will allow me to study for cloud. Do you have any recommendations for me?
I have a medical background so no tech experience
Thank you sooo much
Nice. I self host excalidraw on my home server. Great video and info 👍
Gotta love open source tools :D
Thank you so much 😊
Best Video!
Thanks for this, I really appreciate it! Just starting this video, but this channel so far seems to give stuff to do instead of just amorphously Googling which I absolutely need.
Specific to me - I’m a tech recruiter, so moving into help desk isn’t really workable for me bc that’s a huge pay cut, any tips for getting that pro experience needed for a company to take me seriously?
Edit: looks like you covered this pretty well wow thanks!
Thanks !
I love her videos they are so informative and helpful :).
Glad you like them!
Great effort
Ooooooo Ecuador. The education system is soooo different there. A goal of mine would be to WFH in Ecuador for a summer.
It is only bcoz of GPS, I am motivated and trying to get into cloud. Can't thank you enough🙏
Hey bro can u share your ig
You are appreciated
Hi! first time viewer, just wanted to say that I love the content you put out, it's truly AMAZING! Quick question, would you consider someone within data analytics that deals with SQL, Excel, Tableau and some Python someone that has Cloud exposure? Just curious if maybe I may need to change route in order to follow your step-by-step plan. Thank you!
this is me and I would like to hear her feedback on this. However i am leaning more towards data engineer as I think that would be an easy entry and then later switch to a cloud aspect thats less coding and more provisioning and maintenance
Not sure how the algorithm works but I much prefer these longer form videos. Thanks for the great info 👌🏻
Good to know! I'd like to do more longer videos.
Gracias por este video. Quería empezar de nuevo en esta industria pero ha estado muy confundido. Me das esperanza 🙏🏿
Thanks for the great video! Gwyneth, when you mention a degree fulfilling the prerequisites stage, do you only mean in the area of computer science? Does a degree in any field of study count?
Thank you so much for your effort and content ... JazakAllah Khair Al-JaZaa 💕😇
It's my pleasure
I got my CCP thank you for uploading this.
