I just listened to Carl on the Isle of Man TT podcast a second time. Great episode. He said this lap was awful. They had installed stiffer forks and the bike was handling terribly. He was even thinking of turning around at quarterbridge and aborting the lap. Since they had mounted the camera for this lap he kept going and finished. He said it should have been way quicker. Racing legend.

Very smoothe and calm, appears to have space hear an their that no doubt is the best line, I wonder if the present bikes are causing the use of more of the road due to either greater acceleration or drive in one or two sections an so arriving at a given point at a slightly higher top speed? I wonder if anyone has done computer overlay of lines of all the tt winning riders lineage, make in good adjustments for bike an tyre suspension improvement.
He's got the calmness of Duke an Mcguiness, superb footage,I didn't check was it a race lap or practice.

How comes there is no wind noise?
I go with fraction of this speed and all I hear is the wind! 😮

Less power means more precision imo, so on a bumpy twisty road, sure. On a billiard smooth racing track with long straights, probably not.

Oh, and the RC30 was an incredibly smooth machine.
