They recommend wrapping in a moist paper towel and microwaving for 8-10 seconds if you want to heat them… but they say to try as is… lol I totally understand the price as these are high quality but the shipping is way too expensive for me to order… it would be really nice if they partnered with sone retailers… either grocery stores or coffee shops/delis…

I used to think they were basically the same also, except for the color & cream cheese frosting...until I actually baked a red velvet cake. Just a small amount of cocoa powder is used (whereas chocolate cake used mainly cocoa powder/melted chocolate), along with the other ingredients you mentioned.

I like that they made one with rainbow cookies... I still have those on my list to make at home, but those are more of a Christmas cookie.

red velvet isn't a chocolate cake. it has buttermilk, vinegar, vanilla and a touch of cocoa
