The ITB induction note is heroine for car junkies. Harkens back to racecars of yester year, and in a Miata it's fun X 10
The passenger is like the most cheerful guy ever and I'm here for it
I still miss mine. Shouldn’t have sold it!
Imagine having a Miata and an S2000. And a BRZ. And a Civic Type R. Sheeeeesh
ITBs make a Miata sound like an old Alfa/fiat twin cam…..and I love it
Love the philosophy behind this car! Hopefully one day ill be able to own something as half as capable and well-built as this 👍
I have a suggestion for a video buddy...
Buy a white board. Put the lap times of all the cars you've driven. Then give a overall of every car in comparison to each other. Speaking on points like speed/power,corning speed, chassis etc etc
This idea is gold. Searching Amazon for whiteboards
@@Zygrene I'm a fanatic of lap times. I spent 100s of hours doing time attack on the grand Turismo game series.
The video can be called "Lap Times Explained." 😂
NB. Is my favourite, they drive just SO beautifully. NB2 for the 1.8 vvti engine
Facts, nb2 for VVT but the NB1 is cleaner
I absolutely LOVE the ITB sounds on the 1.8L miatas. Great driving as usual.
As for the whining/grinding sound upon deceleration, that could be the PPF that needs alignment and/or a diff issue. Some new diff fluid should help.
Man that induction note from the engine mounted mic was amazing!!! Looking forward to more of that!
The sound of those ITBs ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome car, love NB1's :)
I have an nb1 and I am saving up to add itb’s. The sound alone makes it worth it!
Exact same situation over here dude, I'm just finishing my widebody now then after the summer it's itb time
If you are doing a build series on it I'll subscribe to you
LOVE this car! Great build Joe!
Gawd, this makes me want to build out a NB and make it my weekend track toy! Great alongside commentary as well!
This is how I want to build my NA 94 1.8. But that's crazy 145 to the wheels JUST from ITB's that phenomenal! oh and the throttle response/induction noise is awesome... it looks like it pulls up hills better with ITB's to so that's AWESOME!
Thanks! ✌️
No woman WILL EVER CONSISTENTLY put a smile on your face like this lil beast!
screw the headphones!!! i'm putting this on the big screen with the surround sound!!! makes me want to ITB my EP3 K24 but i don't want to be stuck at that power level, what a glorious sound, car has a lot of really well thought out mods too
that gearlever movement looks perfect
thing sounds mean! love it
MX-5's with ITBs are great. I've got some race videos on my channel from inside the car.
sounds incredible!
That thing sounds beautiful. Maybe I shouldn't turbo mine...
ITBs or bust
Do both! Like an RB26. ITBs AND boost
Drive both and be real with what you’re using the car for.
A turbo will never beat the responsiveness of a naturally aspirated engine with ITBs. Although, it IS faster... I guess it comes down to personal preference
car sounds great and the build and how you're driving seems like so much darn fun. very impressive and tasteful build and excellent driving.
Interesting comment on this vs the 992 GT3, fast doesn't equal fun.
The less assists a car has, the better it drivers and the safer it drives. I've always felt assists are just 'bad habit enablement'.
Sounds awesome! Just not quite enough grunt for a former V8 guy. Can’t wait to get my forced induction LittleLittle together and hit the track. Great vid.✌🏼
Bad/evil timing! Just finishing my VVT swap into my 94R. Squaretop currently and feels great...but was strongly leaning towards the new Hummelink ITBs next.
DO IT! Best thing I have done to my miata for sure
You're not helping!@@higg1n5
DO IT. I have a ‘93 NA with VVT swap and Jenvey ITB. Haha it’s stupid fun ! 150whp easy with a good exhaust and mapping. But most of all, unmatched driving experience
@@Michel great, thanks, just what I needed to hear ;) Next you’re going to say I need 4.44 gears too…
Question: how do you keep the car street legal in Cali with ITBs?
lovely
ITBs go bwahhhhhhhh
Sounds like fun 🎉
I’m looking for a 99 or so, i had a 69 912 so i really like the slightly underpowered super well handling sporstcar.
is it cali legal to run ITB's tho
That's a really sweet NB1 love it! Mine is heading in the same direction. Im curious, it looks like he didn't shave the head? What cam profile are they?
Seems a bit low on power considering valvetrain, cams, itbs. Would've thought it would be closer to 160.
Stock I think they are reported 140 at the crank. 145 at the wheel is different! Owner seems modest, too.
What security is he using for the hardtop, I know he has the talon locks on the upper locks but not sure what the side strikers have.
Sounds great! What audio setup are you running?
Question for the owner @joe_flan
Shure SM11 in the engine bay
@@joe_flan sounds glorious!
does the car owner have an instagram/youtube channel?
Does anyone know what seats those are? :)
Yea! More miata less s2k’s lol one still exist..
car looks fun, but very slow
You've missed the point. Completely.
Slow and fun, still means fun!
Slow compared to what? Every car is slow
@@MikeRaymond91 did not miss the point, I know miatas are fast in the corners
Was talking about how fast it can accelerate
Still a great build, and a great car
But I wish older miatas had more power even with itbs and bolt ons
@@Zygrene I totally agree that's why I said I'm sure it's fun! Like I replied to Michael, just wish older miatas even with the mods he did had more acceleration
What size 6uls are those?
