    this movie is actually incredibly funny and witty. especially for being 81 years old it still holds well

    Clicked just out curiosity to see what Stalins favourite film was like.

      It wasn't exclusively his favourite film, he also had a penchant for American Westerns. When the Germans were defeated in '45 he also "inherited" a huge trove of American films which were once part of Goebbels' collection (himself a big fan of American cinema.)

      It really breaks my heart thinking about how WWII was on the way. It destroyed so many of the best revolutionaries, either through death or PTSD

    Хороший перевод, однако на 13:29 - ошибка в переводе, - женщинам с вёдрами, пришедшими за водой, Водонос говорит: "Подождёте! Подождёте!..." а не то, что в субтитрах.
