Going to Olympus Coliseum never felt so wrong before. Literally going to Hades to talk to our confirmed dead teammates and they were so casual about being gone.
To be fair they were students from another class. Xehanort and the others didn’t know them that well

I love how vanitas sounds like an actual frustrated, confused and actually scared teenager. From his perspective, he doesn't remember he's a Darkness, with capital D, he has just been separated, both in heart and now in presence too, from what he believed to be his other half whom he both hates and yet cannot help but feel connected to in equal measure, he just got a new form AND a new, different, face out of nowhere, there are creepy shadow monsters crawling out of him, he is stuck with the old man who separated him from Ventus, who both crearly wants to use him for something and can easily end him with a single blow and now this old man is telling him that everything he thought he knew about himself might actually be a lie. Jeesh, I know the dude's supposed to be Darkness and all, but that's one hell of an emotional roller coster for him to go through, especially in such a small amount of time.

@@artyie1172 Sora is an extremely fast learner and has an extremely powerful heart
He was forced into the situation and made the most of it by learning everything on the fly and in practically every game in the series he always starts from square one and he always ends up extremely powerful
That's pretty much the reason why the title of "master" is just a superfluous title
Sora was 14, and had help from Donald, Goofy and Beast. Aqua had help from the 3 good Fairies and Prince Phillip (as did Player). Ventus also had help from the Fairies. The only person who has beaten Maleficent 1 on 1 is Data Sora (although I guess you could include Riku in CoM, but that was a memory of her).
@@PoLaD3582 I’m sure the player beat her 1 on 1 in the khux and she lost to a group of nobodies and ventus did beat her but she wasn’t in her dragon form plus the fairies helped as well
Seems Nomura has a good reason why he loves the character of Hades so much along with the fact that even though when someone dies they end up going to the Final World, surprisingly enough, their souls can also end up in the River of Souls within the Underworld hence why Hoder ended up here after being killed by Maleficent and why Hades searched for Hoder until he found her. Even Auron (Final Fantasy X) also wounded up in the River of Souls within the Underworld after he was previously killed until Hades brought him back in _Kingdom Hearts II._
With Hades and the Underworld making a return to _Kingdom Hearts IV_ as shown at the end of the teaser trailer when Hades confronted Donald and Goofy its going to be interesting how will Hades and the Underworld will play out in the actual game and wether the world is in Cutscenes or a playable world.
They actually end up In the final word. But because they are dead you can still contact them via the underworld.
Actually he might be the way Donald and Goofy will be able to reach Sora in quadratum
I mean he is able to pull souls from the final world so he definitely knows about the other side
Sora isn't technically dead but considering Quadratum is like an afterlife for him maybe Hades can pull some strings to actually contact him if anything.

Sora gave vanitas form through both of their connection to ventus. It's kind of ironic. Sora, Roxas, vanitas and ventus all make up a greater whole. Although Sora's nobody, Roxas looks exactly like ventus, yet vanitas looks exactly like Sora....

Wait! So Vanitas is the Darkness that Ven put inside of himself in order to save the Union Leaders back in Union? Well I mean after everything we had learned up to this point, I guess that would have been kind of obvious. Still though, it's almost like Vanitas doesn't remember that he is this Darkness and really thinks he's his own person. Geez this makes me feel bad for Vanitas. He's just a scared young man who doesn't understand what he is or what is going on. I really hope someday, in one of the Kingdom Hearts games, we can give Vanitas a happy ending. Make him his own person, for real, and let him join up with the Keybladers in the Light. Big wish I know but maybe someday.

Do remember that Donald and Goofy are way more powerful than they look. Goofy IS the captain of the royal knights and Donald learned directly from Merlin.

Though remember, Ventus' heart was also inside Sora, same with Kairi. A princess of heart and a pure light. No wonder Maleficent got bonked. The kid didn't even know he has so much light powering up his heart, and he had a duck that can literally zettaflare and Goofy.

I hear people saying how Sora who was untrained managed to beat Maleficent as a untrained keyblade wielder compared to some trained keyblade wielders preparing to take the mark of mastery exam.
In Sora defense the dude had to face to powerful foes and learn everything on the fly. During each battle he had to survive and fight for his life. Doing those dangerous things and fighting powerful foes can sharpen his battle senses. That and he has a very powerful heart we’re the key of him defeating dragon maleficent

It’s likely that she has a stronger heart yes. To be fair she was one of the seven guardians of light in her time so it makes sense. Sora says it himself when talking about Aqua.

So, the beginning of this video implies that Sora might be a (or THE) dark vessel. He’s someone who’s heart can connect with others and withstand their pain and suffering without his heart breaking (the whole point of re:coded). Even making it more apparent is the fact that this scene occurs right after Ven (a person who had closed his hearts off to others) connected with Sora showcasing his ability to connect with someone even Xehanort could not and deemed unsavable.
"the one inscribed in the Book(of prophecies), the one chosen to be a dark vessel can connect their heart to others" probably literally referring to when Sora was chosen to be one of the 13 darknesses in Dream Drop. Xehanort not having that foresight misinterpreting it in that scene
54:13 Maybe in Kingdom Hearts 4 or 5, we'll finally find out what happened to the 13th Darkness that remains unaccounted for. And whatever happened to the Darkness that was inside Ventus (the one from which Vanitas was born)? Did it disappear along with Vanitas during the events of Kingdom Hearts 3? Or is it still lurking inside Ven's heart, waiting for a chance to seize control him and lash out?

What is with this series and sugarcoating the most common everyday occurrence since life began? Is it because Disney is all about the kids? Hey, little Timmy. Everything that is alive will one day die, and no it is very different from sleeping. Just rip off the band-aid.
The timeline is off with the time skips. 75 years after YX met MoM was during KH3, so roughly 65 years after DR would be BBS. But Ventus was brought to Eraqus shortly after Sora was born and his heart bonded with Ven's, so that flashforward should be 61 years after DR.
Three Keyblade wielders (at roughly Master level) perished against Dragon Maleficent, but 14-year-old Sora who was pretty strong but not that level was able to strike her down with aid from Donald, Goofy, and Beast, and Aqua was able to fight her well enough alongside Prince Phillip until Phillip and the fairies' magic defeated her...
The event where Sora's Heart bonded with Ventus and the one Xehanort brought Ventus to Eraqus are all happening in the same year. So the timeline is right.

We know that 64 years after DR Xehanort talked to the Mirror and learned Ventus' location. He took him in his care for 1 year.
Then 65 years later after DR, he brought him to Eraqus.
If Eraqus took care of him for 4 years, then the bbs time period should happen 69 years after DR.
Again I don't see how is the timeline wrong.
Reminder that despite killing four fully fledged soon-to-be keyblade masters, Sora beat malificent first try with NO FORMAL TRAINING. And he's still not a keyblade master lol🤣

I'm not sure, at least not purely. He definitely started as the darkness that latched onto Ven but I think he has some of Ven mixed in now.

Soo Baldr's Rental Darkness also worked with Maleficient, or it took form of the Dark Fairy's dragon Form? (Making it technically a Heartless in design?)
Oh whoa the ending of this chapter just confirmed that Luxu managed to take out the last Darkness on his own as the it's fate was never revealed. The explosion during the scene where Brain sent Ven, Elrena, and Lauriam might have been Luxu on delivering the final blow to Darkness before heading back to ark.
I'm still not clear on Vanitas if he is the original darkness because he has a heart. That's how he appeared in KH3. Darkness, especially the original 13 darknesses can't have a heart, right? or am I mistaken? Because then it could be that he is a part of Ven's heart, and the Darkness was just transfered to him.
Maybe it's the inverse of what you're saying? To mimic your sentence structure: It could be that he is Darkness, and a piece of Ven's heart was just transferred to him. This, letting him travel/appear in KH3.
Darkness, by being bound to Ven's heart, became a fragment of his heart. Vanitas didn't HAVE a heart, he WAS a part of a heart.
Xehanort said outright that Vanitas didn't start off as a part of Ven, and clarified that he was thinking about separating the foreign entity from Ven's heart and not thinking about separating darkness from light when he ripped them apart. Even (Vexen before he became a Nobody) then sensed and explicitly said that Ven was 'devoid of darkness' four years after that separation. Combining that with what Xehanort stated in this video, it would mean that Ven inherently had a heart of pure light with no natural darkness of its own, because Darkness/Vanitas was the only darkness that Ven's heart ever harboured, so with just Darkness/Vanitas removed from his heart, Ven would (return to) be(ing) pure light.
@@Yzafre First I read that as "Unversed" and got even more confused, lol. Ok, so Xehanort extracted the Darkness from Ven because it didn't belong to him, but in the process Ven's heart got damaged, and the Darkness kept that part of his heart which became Vanitas.

Ven basically used his own heart to contain Darkness within him when he bound it to himself, so when Xehanort forcefully extracted Vanitas from him, he damaged the heart itself.
The dialogue in this video implies that none of Vanitas' being originated from Ven. That he's a 100% foreign entity that only became part of Ven later on in life.

I'm not really sure if I like the idea of Vanitas being Darkness rather than the dark part of Ven's heart. It sort of makes his connection to Ven and Sora much less personal. And it completely defeats the point of his "We are brothers" speech

I never really understood why the machine sent Ventus to the Keyblade Graveyard and not Twilight Town. I mean I get it was *empty* and *windy,* but I honestly thought Twilight Town was a better fit for him.
No the keyblade graveyard fits him better due to him being able to forge the x~blade in bbs

Boy would those upper classmen be mad to find out that not only Aqua survived and I swear, also did some damage to Maleficent, but so did Sora, someone without any formal training.
Edit: Yeah, I double checked. Maleficent was limping away after Aqua and Phillip (or whatever his name is) kicked her ass as her dragon form. She was hurting.
Granted, Aqua also manage to survive over a decade in the Realm of Darkness. It just goes to show you that Sora and Aqua (and Riku) are OP.
