A little before 13:15, Dallas makes the biblical argument from Matt 7 and 1 Cor. 1 and Judges that those who operate powerfully in gifts may not be balanced. But then he says that some gifts seem to require that we not be balanced to bare the gift. I understand the first part but not the latter. What does he mean by some gifts seem to require not being balanced in order to bare the gift?
Dallas meant that, according to some folks, having spiritual gifts requires us to be unbalanced. So, speaking in tongues (for example) requires that you be erratic generally, inconsistent, unfocused, etc. Dallas would certainly disagree with that belief.
So grateful for Dallas - his life and teachings.
@37:90 and after, he was a genius!
What is meant by ‘disgust’ when Dallas says ‘…lust and disgust’
