  • Tips to finding active Northern goshawk nests in Ontario - ACR FALCONRY
Join us this week as we show you some tips and tricks to finding active goshawk nests in Ontario - ACR FALCONRY.
We have applied for a goshawk tag this season and we hope to get the opportunity to trap, train and hunt a northern goshawk this season. Feel free to subscribe and follow along on my falconry adventures.
Thanks for watching our falconry adventures and make sure to check out my other videos as I have lots of how to videos on falconry (i.e. how to trap a hawk, how to train a hawk for falconry, how to build a giant hood, how to trade off and many more) We are also working toward "going live" on some hunts so you can join us and see what falconry is all about.
A falconry license is required to trap, own and hunt a native hawk in Ontario.
Contact Ontario hawking club for more information.
I'm in my fifth year of falconry and I'm always learning so please check with your sponsor if you have any questions.

Nice video. 👍I'm always happy to see that you've posted one.
As a bit of constructive criticism, I'd recommend that you increase the volume quite a bit... I really had to crank up the volume on my computer before I could even make out what you were saying.
Good luck finding a gos pair - looking forward to seeing that in a video.

Thanks for the feed back. I did feel something wasnt right with the volume when I edited this one but I just thought it was the head set I was using. I will fix it for the next video

Brancher is best I think. My sponsor has always insisted an accipiter needs to be taken from the nest and imprinted... But I hate climbing trees lol

I've been told branchers are less vocal and easier to train for hunting. I will let you know if I get one this year. fingers crossed

I flew goshawks for a long time, imprints, branchers and a passage. The only problem with branchers, is when you obtain them, they get fright marks on their tail. When they start catching game, those tail feathers are going to break.

Good to know. I didn't draw a tag for this season. Hopefully next year
