@@topazlabs Hello Topaz labs, do you guys sell a perpetual license? And does that include lifetime updates? Does it include the upcoming mobile apps? Thanks
I thought Photo AI was a better version of Gigapixel, but now the later gets better features. I'm confused. Your lineup of apps isn't well defined. What's the difference between Ai Photo and Gigapixel?
Gigapixel and Photo AI have a couple of differences! Gigapixel has more AI upscaling models available than Photo AI, and it is also our leading upscale application. Photo AI does have more plugin options and also includes different features that are not available on Gigapixel, such as Remove Tool, Color Balancing, and Light Adjustment.
Unfortunately it appears that Topaz is more and more focusing on extreme low quality images. But what is your customer base? Smartphone users? I don‘t think so. Improve your algorithms for more quality images and for usage as large prints. Optimize your algorithms for film scans. No standard smartphone user will pay big dollars for such a software which is not even running with iOS or Android. Look for the photography professionals and enthusiasts and their needs….
You are right, but that‘s not what I meant: I‘m talking about further improvements especially with respect to accuracy of images coming from high quality cameras, but not client ready because of missed focus, camera shake, noise, lens limitations in corners, upscale for very large prints etc. In this area any advancement would be highly welcome. Most people might not see any relevance to optimize images with a size of 600x400 Pixel…
Mixed feelings. This side is quite interesting. On the other hand, this is hardly applicable for commercial photography. This is too slow. The result is not predictable. I personally will never use cloud rendering. In any case, development is moving. I see potential. And it's great. I did not renew the PhotoAI subscription. For me, a bunch of DeNoiseAI, SharpAI and Gigapixel work much more efficiently. I will use it further.
Jeez you guys are pushing this hard. I notice that the image of your brother shows EXACTLY the problem I always complain about with your software: great for people, but water and noise and plant leaves and sand suck.
@@TheSmkfts That's a REALLY silly argument. All 8 versions were the worst it was ever going to be, but I'm not paying for something that doesn't meet my needs. I'm a customer not an investor. This software has been out literal decades, and this specific problem still persists. There's certain types of noise it simply cannot handle, and for those of us who want to upscale the whole photo, and not just a figure in the middle, it just doesn't cut it. Also, it sucks with groups of people at medium distance.
@@Martial-Mat You say there are many problems that still persist. So the tool does not meet your needs. Did you pay for the software regardless? Then that’s silly. And I’m not arguing. This is a great tool now for a lot of creatives and it’s going to get better. If it gets worse with every iterarion, then people can invest their money in other software. And yes, every single customer is an investor as everything you buy is an investment.
@@TheSmkfts I purchased it as part of a bundle, and unsurprisingly, the adverts did not mention its shortfalls. As for being an investor, Are you being deliberately obtuse? Silly question - of course you are. @@Martial-Mat But did you pay the upgrade price every year after you found out about its shortcomings? I hope it gets implemented in Photo AI too !
We currently do not have an exact date for when redefine will be added to Photo AI
@@topazlabs so it is coming for sure - just the timeframe is not set?

Finally something I was looking for but none of the current online AI tools can offer 👏
Waiting for this year's black Friday deals! Why not start early and make a bunch of extra sales :)
Sale coming soon! ;)
Is the new Redefine
feature coming to Photo AI or will that only be in Gigapixel?

Are there any rules for image description? Is it the same as Midjourney or stable diffusion?
that looks hella promising. i hope this wont disappoint
It wont ;)
And why is this not in PHOTO AI?

@topazlabs but IS it happening - or not determined yet...
Any -lams to add this generative AI to video?
Bring back custom masks for facial recovery.

As far as I can tell (trial user at the moment) Topaz can upscale pictures out of my Nikon D7 just as well as pics from my iPhone?!
