despite all what happened to YG years ago.he doesnt lose his love to his trainees and artists and also boost their confidence when needed.and spots talent and potential just like with Junkyu.

I hated YG during MixNine and TreasureBox for how he treated Hyunsuk but honestly Hyunsuk improved every time. I guess YG knows who’s strong in overcoming criticism and who’s soft hearted.

I really think Junkyu is the opposite of Yedam, I mean YHS valued Yedam so much especially in YGTB, while he's so hard when it comes to Junkyu. He doesn't get disappointed by Yedam, while he always scold Junkyu, but despite all of the disappointment Junkyu gave to YG, he never let go of this boy, we all know the moment YHS doesn't like a trainee, he'll never give them a chance at all. And the fact he gave Junkyu multiple chances, and the way he smiled when Junkyu said "I want to debut", that's the smile that he'll debut Kim Junkyu no matter what. If YG doesn't like a trainee, he would let that trainee go and never give them a chance, just exactly like what happened to Hwang Heo and the other trainee, I forgot his name, in the 1st/2nd episode. But gladly, those two felt inspired and started to pursue in this area and didn't gave up. And about Yedam, though he doesn't get disappointed in Yedam and doesn't scold him, he also had and probably still have high expectations of Yedam, which that can hold a plenty of pressure on Yedam as well, so yeah.
Because you can clearly see YG papa used to think that Junkyu is Ace trainee during mix nine. And during ygtb era YG said that he hadn't given any complements to Junkyu since mixnine. May be YG wanted Junkyu debute as Main Vocalist. I can even see that Junkyu lacks some confidence. When I watched one show i forgot the name but the show where Junghwan rap Bobby Why you mad. There plays track of "Beautiful" Crush song which was performed by Junkyu in ygtb era Junkyu's team didn't recognise and Jeongwoo team got chance to sing that song and everyone knows performance was iconic and got praised but it seemed he wanted to sing but when yedam and Jeongwoo were singing he was like backup no confidence. Maybe because YG gave only main vocal position to Yedam and Jeongwoo so again he lack a bit confidence this is my own opinion. YG should give a little bit more lines to Junkyu from where people can see his more vocal skill.

I never really hated Papa YG, I didn't get why people hated him, he only wants the best for his artists and he treats them like family. He likes a harsh training system, the only way you could debut is to pass his training, that is what gonna make you strong.

YG knows how to comfort his potential artist's if they have lacking he even did that on Dara. YG really have a good eye on talent and potential of a person and he proved it. I mean keeping Junkyu, Choosing Jaehyuk, Junghwan, Jeongwoo, Haruto even they're so young and the 3 has less training, bringing back Jihoon, Yoshi, asahi, Mashiho, Doyoung, even was eliminated during ygtb, challenge hyunsuk during ygtb as a way of preparing him to be a leader of TREASURE, he can debut yedam as soloist but choose to debut him in a large group not just because yedam voice is a big help for treasure songs but also being in a kpop group had a big chance to be famous morethan a soloist. A little bit sad that he can't show his support to treasure on cam but I know he is still behind everything what treasure doing right now.

I also wonder if YG will make a survival show again. I really love YG's survival shows lol They show us the good and bad sides of music industry. Their shows are raw and harsh but it all counts because at the end of the day, the trainees that used to get a lot of criticisms and least compliments, after they all debut, they all began to understand YG's purpose of treating them that way. They all became feeling grateful and respects YG more after they understand the reason.
So sad that Treasure can't make funny impressions of PAPA YG in variety shows huhuhu.... But I think YG still is close with YG staff and producers. He attended Future Bounce's wedding and gave a speech. Winner and Ikon was there
You can hate YHS all you want but you cannot deny that he genuinely cares for them and wants them to succeed. He sees the potential in them and has faith that they will do well, and tries to make that happen to the best of his ability. Some people may view that as being strict and too harsh, but I think its because he genuinely loves them and cares for them.
YG won't sit back when you touch his Artist. Look at how he protect junkyu. There are a lot of times he really stand up for his artist and I really miss those time. If YG hold you, you'll be successful. He have his eyes on the superstars.

I'm just glad he let Junkyu debut after 7 years being a trainee. He also help Junkyu build his confidence.

Yes:) but if you watch other YG groups survival esp WIN and Mix and Match, you’ll be 1000x more emotional~ i think YGTB is still light compared to those others YG survival show which is better since Treasure babies mostly are way younger and free spirited so it’s better if they shouldn’t feel greater pressure.. I’m just glad they debuted and successful, in the future they’ll be bigger ofc

@@emjaytandingan9975 omo yes ofc they’re legendary, I mean Bigbang for me is like the pillar of YG itself so I didn’t consider their story as I am thinking of survival shows, but yeah they’re story is the most heartbreaking of all, esp when they starve and only eat snacks that managers are hiding from them.. all the other trainees are so lucky! They ate good food, living in a beautiful dorm, thanks to Bigbang the most. Bc they literally built YG empire~~ along with 2NE1 back then

In the end, trainee-Junkyu became Treasure-Junkyu. He bacame an official debut member with the highest pre-online vote and onsite votes. And with no words needed was truly proud and happy for Junkyu when it happened.

To be honest I was among the people who hated yg main producer but after watching many survival shows I saw another side of him. The side where he was so protective of his trainees and how he looked like proud father when he saw them doing so good. In particularly when junkyu performed so well after his therapy session he looked so proud of junkyu... To be honest I highly recommend all yg fans to watch these survival shows.. Specially who only Stan yg girl groups then you would understand the way yg work...
Yeah, I'm originally a Blink and they are my Ultimate. But if I didn't saw anything good about YG and the company why would I stan them? I would just stan the groups.... But NO. I saw the good things YG did... Every just needs to be detailed to see that... Cause YG doesn't care about what others think... He has is own way and won't use media play just like SM.
Thats why i dont believe on what i saw on soc med. I always believe in him and never questioned what he does to his artists. Im also a yg stan since 2ne1 and BB era.

YHS really is a straight forward person he'll say it honestly he doesn't care if it hurts you, but the truth is he just want his artists to be strong receiving harsh comments from him makes them immune from hatred especially they are from YG. Mr. Yang is one of the best thing for YG Artists and Trainees. He can give brutal evaluations but he will also protect his kids. I'm sure it was hard for him with the scandals that YG went through. But I hope he knows that Mr. Yang himself, the artists, the company... that they know that they are bigger than their mistakes, and that overcoming adversity will make them stronger. At the first time watching YGTB, Junkyu left in me lots of impressions about his beautiful voice. Then after watching TM I could see different aspects of him so I missed the old show and went rewatching YGTB.
At the second time, I really know why most of the artists of YG call him papa cuz he never lets his trainees and artists in such bad situations. He brings opportunities for every single person like Junkyu and Jihoon to shine their best and expose themselves. He focuses on potential not just skills unlike other producers.

Okay. This is the third time I cried today. I cried first when I saw Doyoung's ending fairy in TMAP. I cried the second time when I heard about maknae Junghwan. Then I decided to watch this, and I cried again for the 3rd time today all because of TREASURE. Lol. I don't know but as a YG stan, I feel overprotective of TREASURE babies. They just need to be protected. 😭😭😭

I love all Treasure members 100% but I love Junkyu 101% coz he’s just too darn charming. Became a fan after my daughter forced me to watch My Treasure MV. Lol We’ll travel to South Korea from Canada when they announce a concert and will definitely fight for front row seats! Lol
YG is a stubborn and consistent with his choices I love it. Do you remember when knetz and inetz bash YG for choosing Junghwan and Jaehyuk? If that was another agency which usually follow the will of the crowd, they would have cancelled Junghwan & Jaehyuk debut but no, YG persisted and he was right! He is a producer indeed and very good one at that. He see talent and potential.

It's a fact among all hardcore YG fans that Papa YG is really protective towards his brood. He maybe misinterpreted and misunderstood by others but we all know he did those things because he seriously cares for them. He is always proud of each his kids that's why even tje artists who left YG still thinks highly of him.
