They were supposed to come to Canada right after the pandemic started and when they rebooked for 2 years later, the show still got cancelled. So sad that I couldn't see them again. Been listening since Juturna but haven't seen them since before this album released.
@@mattm1370 💔 Kinda the same, been listening since Juturna, hadn't seen them since the Amulet tour, and BSN tour got cancelled 2 weeks before the 2-year rescheduled show I was gonna go to
Juturna will forever stand as a defining album and sound for an entire generation of music fans. Blue sky noise was Circa trying their best at the major label thing..
@@Trotskers BSN is my favourite album by far - I've listened to them since Juturna (and AG before that, when he was in Saosin) - I like individual songs off the other albums but BSN is 10/10 all the way through.
For some odd reason or another, I never truly got into the earlier work of Circa, namely Juturna.. and although I love a few songs off that record now, Blue Sky Noise was start to finish playing on repeat for many years while delivering pizzas and such. Truly beloved by myself and hopefully many more.
@@richterwolf5230 guess what? me too, down to the pizza delivery, all through college. I dug Juturna and On Letting Go, but Blue Sky Noise floored me. After that I got much more into the first two records. Cheers
I am so happy I got to experience this life and the moments with memories of past times listening to the music from this band taking center stage as my life's background music playing as I grew from a teen to an adult progressing and growing accepting change. I will never forget how your music impacted my life's mood. It feels nostalgic and reminds me of better times. Thank you for your gift and blessing me with the comfort of your music.
It never ceases to amaze me how vocalists like Anthony, Claudio Sanchez, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, King Diamond, and Geddy Lee can sing like this for an entire set.
Damn finally they got good quality audio in a live video. I feel these guys get a disservice with a lot of their live videos here on youtube because of sound quality. This sounded amazing, glad I found this. Only hire these guys from now on! Or whoever mic'd and mixed
💯 I think the issue is here they likely pulled from the sound board or whatever (I don’t know a ton about that stuff) but many or most live videos on YT are filmed with a phone both video and audio
Hearing imposter syndrome right after this masterpiece absolutely topped it off. It hit my soul so hard in a moment in which I needed it dearly. This was a wonderful experience at the time. Hope they will be back ❤
Seriously, he absolutely killed it here!! Considering how his vocal quality deteriorated in recent years, this was a breath of fresh air and a reminder that he's still "got it." Especially Get Out, which this was the last time they performed it in its original key, Anthony gave it a proper ending by truly killing it
I'll forever regret not going to last years Tid the season. Both Circa and ETID's last shows. Breaks my fucking heart. Blue Sky Noise is one of my favorite albums of all time, a beautiful piece of work.
dude...I had plans for when it was gonna happen in 2020. By the time it officially came around I was broke af. I had no idea they weren't going to tour anymore :( I literally just learned this by your comment. I legitimately almost cried right. Fuck me runnin' this just broke my fucking heart.
2007 Voodoo.... I danced, knocked beach-balls around crowd-surfed and lived as if this album was not on the horizon. Lost love, found it again, and finally 15 years later? Don't leave us CS. "Circa Survive is Still....."
I remember in high school jamming to this album with my childhood best friends. It was my first Circa album that I really listened to. I go back n' forth on if this or Juterna is their best. I remember seeing them in 2012 or 2013 and Anthony crawled into the crowd, he reached out and I held him up with my hands and he was just absolutely killing it. It was an incredible show. Balance & Composure opened for them and ever since they (Balance & Circa) have been all-time favs of mine. They opened with Void from Separation and the ENERGY in that room was so f*ckin INTENSE. the bass was soul grabbing. Thx for this. I feel reconnected to my emo roots 😅🖤
El mejor álbum que he escuchado en mi vida, tanto feeling, la calidad musical, la voz, las guitarras, los bajos, la batería maldita sea, todo es excelente. ❤
Thanks for putting this up. I found out about this band because of the Blue SKy Noise tour slated for 2020 which obviously didn't happen and I fell in love with this album. Missed the live stream, missed the vinyl release of this show so I'm lucky to see this version of the show. Honestly it's probabkly better then a live set because it's the songs I wanna hear. Thanks man.
100% has changed lol. He's talked about having to learn to deal with the changes being a bit of a challenge too, although I think he said it kind of started around BSN era. He's using a lot more falsetto now because of the bit of vocal damage it sounds like he's sustained, makes it harder to reach up without getting all distorted. That said, even if there's been some damage he's definitely one of very few singers who has managed to lean into the changes and learn to utilize them for the best. Schuyler Croom is another good example, more extreme though in his case.
I love Anthony and Circa to death but his voice has absolutely changed lol you can tell live he struggles to hit the truly high pitched notes. Stuff off Juturna and OLG are harder for him. No shade in any way, being a pro musician as long as he has will cause significant strain on vocal chords
@Luxalim2112 you can hear the added gravel in his voice but I'm actually pretty sure he could belt that old shit out if he really wanted, sometimes he still does... the problem is less so the vocal damage and moreso the raw amount of core energy it takes to do at his age. I'm 34 and it's really exhausting compared to my 20s, in order for him to play a whole show he just has to pace himself, even if his technique is better than ever.
@@posthardcoresinger do you know where he talked about having to learn to deal with the changes, vocal-wise? I agree with you on there being changes to voice for sure, and it starting around the BSN era definitely checks out: live videos of him starting in 2011 show him start to go into that "head voice" that he uses so often for higher notes. Nowadays he just goes into falsetto, but if that was his falsetto in the early 2010s then it was leagues more powerful than it is now. Still, a very talented vocalist and one of my favorite musicians and people in general!
I was so excited to go to this 10 year tour and I’m kinda still pissed at them to this day that all those years of drug turbulence had to finally come to a head and ruin it all
Yea, AG really seems to be having a hard time hitting the notes for the early stuff in the catalogue.. those early days he hit some crazy high stuff. it only makes sense they couldnt play those only songs the way they deserved. we will miss this band dearly...
I said the same thing… I also don’t think his commitment, or lack there of, to tour with Circa hurt. There was talks about the band being upset he wouldn’t do the BSN tour but did a solo tour with Thursday and then LS Dunes. Hope they can figure it out and come back some day!
Yea he’s lost range… they tuned down some songs on their last shows. His higher notes are mostly done either screaming or in head voice. Can’t say what caused it Ofcourse but the change is obvious.
As a gear nerd who loves both traditional amp rigs as well as the new age of digital rigs, it's neat to see them get creative with the use of Helixes, an added synth player and click tracks for live use. But I prefer the more authentic sound of guitars going into stompboxes and fed into real amps for the tones, and Anthony's voice seems a little too angsty for this style. Sounds great, but just less fitting overall. Still, that being said, this is a great performance from everyone.
I had tickets for this show. So heartbroken it was cancelled.
Polyphia, Hail The Sun, and Circa Headlining canceled by covid. I actually cried in my room alone. Jk.
@cuzzohh2768 no youre no jk. Youre completely serious. But we're here, and not the olive gardens hack line
Steve Clifford is so underrated. He kills it heavy.
Dude! What are the odds we'd run into each other here?! Anyway, couldn't agree more. Steve Clifford is one of my favorite drummers.
@ryndanriley5348 who are either of you??
Truly a tragedy that Anthony had to cancel the tour for this album. Absolutely incredible stuff.
Wdym, he didn't cancel the tour, he quit the band over it.
