For me at least, Riggs isn't a *bad* golfer, he's just not as good as he claims to be. On top of that, he's playing with celebrities and professional golfers as well as in front of a camera crew. There's definitely an element of nerves here that none of us understand. It's entirely possible he breaks 80 regularly on less difficult courses or courses he's familiar with, without all the stress and nerves of making these videos. I'd be willing to bet that he uses an app to calculate his handicap based on his scores. Saying he's not nearly as good as he says he is based solely on what we see in these videos is not realistic. I am also a single digit handicap and I imagine if I were being watched by a camera crew and thousands of people on youtube, playing with famous golfers, on really nice, challenging courses, I might not break 80 either. Or maybe I'm completely wrong. Who knows.

A handicap is not really an average scopre, but a reasonable expectation of what you can shoot on a good day. Says as much on several websites. He's not a 5, but probably around a 9-11. They also typically play high slope courses. The handicap is meant to "reset" the course total score to par so you can compete against your own scoring *potential* not your average score

These videos are entertaining, but it's so painful when they talk/brag about individual scores in this kind of format where they're conceding 10 footers when holes are decided, hitting multiple OBs, taking breakfast balls/mulligans, extra practice strokes, or outright not finishing holes. Just play the match! There is no individual stroke play score when you're doing that shit

What makes this so awesome is that these guys are just normal dudes living in a dream golf world and it’s absolutely amazing! They travel around the world to courses the average person would never make it to nor probably be aloud to play at and they also play with pros/legends. Just grade A content!
They're lucky they work for Barstool and were well known before becoming the golf guys. None of them are particularly interesting to watch or likeable aside from Trent. There's probably a million other normal dudes that would make better golf content with the audience and connections these guys were able to start with.

Frankie. Your chipping sucks because you're scared and you speed up your tempo, lean back and try to scoop. Results in chunking the ball, look at your shoulders. Keep your chest over the ball and lean forward and hit the down on the ball more.
I have to be honest. I LOVE the content, but from an avid viewer. i would say do away with the luxury side of things. We aren't watching to see all the fancy things that are going on. We are watching because yall are average golfer like most that are watching your channel. We get enough of the vanity from Hollywood. Just my two cents and that's about all it's worth.
I played here years ago, I did the exact same thing with my drive off the 1st, straight right. Unfortunately at that time the Butch Harman golf school was in progress right where my ball went. Soooo embarrassing lol
I want one of my friends who is a true 5 handicapper to play head to head vs Riggs, or a true 9 handicapper to play Frankie for 1000 a hole. These guys are my favorite but goddamn do they cheese the handicap.

Can't tell for sure, but it looks like they didn't understand "nearest point of relief" on Trent's drop on the par 3. That drop should have have been up the hill to his right - in worse position. It's nearest point of relief, not "nicest." That said, most golfers get that wrong / refuse to do it correctly.
