I could not stop crying. The pain. On behalf of Prayers and all those who are still holding pain, for providing a safe space to express. Richard you're an angel
Wow amazing interview. I was one of the people who judged this guy by his appearance in the past, but wow, what a life he has lived. Inspiring and raw. Nobody is perfect. We all have done things that we regret. What's important is that we learn from our mistakes and others' as well. Forgive and move on. Find peace. Find God .
I’ve been waiting for the homie Richard to make his own on his podcast. He’s got the charisma for it, that’s for sure. It’s only up from here my boy. Get that shit. ✊🏼
Much love from Northern California, I know that there has always been tension between northern and southern Cali, but that doesn’t stop me from supporting and saluting another man that has made it out the mud 🙏🏼🫡
One of the most insightful interviews I've ever heard. I appreciate the opportunity to listen to individuals sharing their experiences and challenges of growing up in underprivileged areas. It resonates with my own upbringing on the Navajo Reservation. The resilience displayed in overcoming our traumas and hardships is truly inspiring.
“Ask for forgiveness instead of permission.” This quote will sit with me for a while. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. I instantly subscribed to this channel! 🖤
I can tell his energy has shifted from an interview I saw with him that was several years old. He seems much more grounded and introspective from growth.
My respects to both of these men. I can relate to Rafael. I'm also from Michoacan and came here illegally when i was 6. I went to Sherman Elementary for a little while. I lived on 24th and Broadway, Golden Hills park was a place my family would spend time at. Your spiritual side and all the blessings that you've received throughout your life, i can also relate to. Even the experiences you went through when your dad was sick, I'm going through that right now. Congratulations on all your achievements. Life is hard but keep your faith. Your mom is watching over you.
I’ve been on a journey of healing and health & honestly I’m going to check that book out that both you mentioned . Great interview so far I’m really enjoying it ! Richard you’re an inspiration brotha ! So is prayers
Aye homies, just gotta say gracias. For real. You two foos and the bro Conejo were huge during my wake up call. Y mas que nada, the influence was heavy from you both with what I got in the works right now with a little empowering project of my own. Blessings carnales, and power to you. 🫀
🖤 🙏 🖤 ~ So sad I missed The Music Box show with Prayers & Kat Von D in San Diego in November! Many years ago, I had a beautiful little shop with a dear friend, Gina Faulk (an artist) in the East Village called EMPORiA on E Street; and Pokez (Rafael's delicious vegan Mexican restaurant) was a few doors down; Rafael has always been a really cool, kind & warm guy! Love how he's married to Kat with a beautiful little boy and the life & success he has now ... 🙏
Saw this guy walking around Echo Park lake few years back. Thought he was just another hipster but now I know he’s a solid dude. Sick interview thanks Richard!
Wtf do yall vatos want richard to say instead of yeah? "Correct" "affirmative" "right onnnn" the homie is in the moment u can tell from his body language and he is genuinely interested in the conversation it's not just a podcast it's two homies with the same background but took totally diffrent routes just chopping it up having a real conversation
What’s an amazing story! Leafar really made it happen! Opened his own restaurant as a kid! Sold his cars and rode his skateboard to buy the food he needed to stock his new restaurant! Wow! I wish I could hear the full version of the story!
🪶 🖤 🪶 ~ I didn't realize Rafael / Prayers 🙏 initially went out on tour with The Cult; I have loved The Cult since those very early days! Such a great interview - I've learned so much and been brought to tears; especially when Rafael was talking about his Dad, in general; and, most specifically during their last few hours together ... 💔
Hey, what’s up Richard, I’m from San Antonio Texas. I’ve been watching your show Bro and it motivates me because it seems like I was in the same shoes wrong but think the Lord for everything I think sometimes we got up as through the dark because in the dark there’s blessings, right right
Been following Prayers since like 2018, missed his show in el DF. Hyped about his new album Quemando Barcos. Hopefully he does a song with a Pesadilla Gris from Guanajuato good goth band. Maybe since he talks alot about angels he can do a perfect collab with REN from the UK. Saludos prayers desde el Triangulo Dorado de la Sierra de Durango, abrazos amigo y gracias por no sentirme solo en oir New Order y Cypress hill a la misma vez cuando andaba de pandillero. CholoGoth for life.
Such an interesting story on prayers, I was only aware of him because of his wife. But this interview brings new light and respect to this man journey ⭐⭐
Hoping you have him back on again soon ! this was too short! I’d love to hear more on his experience navigating fatherhood and marriage God bless you guys 🙏🏼
I'm going to hear ya ya ya in my sleep now 😂 Leo is a very honest guy and has a great life story of struggles and success trew out it all.dont quit or give up on your dreams, listen up all you youngsters
For all the atheists out there there is a war of principalities and powers in high places. Meaning there are more than just one religion that is real. For instance Christianity and Santa Muerte are real. A practitioner of Santa Muerte can not tell you the name of their demon for if you know it as a real Christian, you can bind it in Jesus name. Knowing this you must decide which master you want to serve. The King of Kings, or the lesser.
We have so much in common. If raza would only stop and talked to one another instead of throwing shade… imagine the possibilities! That book tho'… 📖 yes 🙌🏽

I want to commend Rafaels Father for supporting his son and having his back. He had a huge hand in Rafaels success in life. awesome.

It’s rude to talk and cut someone off while asking someone a question. It’s not the word being overly used, it’s the action.
No no no no no
