Nice work on the video Chris! If I were doing the head in situ like this, I would 2-sided tape the abrasives to a flat stick and taper the side in order to get in closer to the guide. It's a good thing to maintain flatness, which the stick would help with. Anyway, you got your channel back so it's a win and I get to be your first thumbs up!
Thanks. Yeah i was contemplating a stick and decided against it because i wanted to get a feel of the head. This was a first run i think. I may go back at it again and try to be more accurate up against the guide. There is still a wear groove on the path next to the 2 tracks that needs to be smoothed out. But the playback seems even and im OK with it. It was more of a "lets see what happens" and it was alot of fun getting the video made. I love the boombox and dont play tapes, but its nice to know its working correctly. Thanks again for your input and advice. 👍
