John Doe was the driver of Roadkill in Black, but the car Evelin in new. Quiet and her brother Loud were created to the show, but they drive Shadow that was in 2, Black, Small Brawl and Head-on. Raven was the driver of Shadow in Black. Her desire was to avenge her "best friend" Kelly. Agent Stone was the driver of Crimson Fury in 1, so you might have played It. But hes more famous for being the driver of Outlaw in Black. Agent Shepard, Stone's second in comand, was the driver of Crimson Fury in Head-on. Mike and Stu were the drivers of HammerHead in 2. This Sweet Tooth design was introduced in Black, and has become the standart since then. It was the same in Head-on, the 2012 game and his apearamce in Playstation All-Star. The code John inputed was the invencibility cheat from 2. PS: Twisted Metal Head-on is the best one in my opinion. Its a sequel to 2, its faithful to the tone of 1 and 2. Its got good graphics and great gameplay. And amazing level design.
Thank you for your comment it was refreshing and everything was accurate, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to add to your references without spoiling later episodes so I'll be expecting and will enjoy seeing you in the rest of them😂 Sweet Tooth's dinner jacket is his Twisted Metal 3 ice cream man design with the pink plaid tux and blue bow tie. I will say knowing who John Doe is I was disappointed that Evelyn was what I thought his vehicle was supposed to be as roadkill but as this is a prequel adaptation and the original character art had him as a bald Caucasian dude it doesn't matter!😅 The TM2 iteration does have a large box wing and it is orange with a different colored Hood so I thought this was their budget way of making the PS1 Roadkill, without shelling out for a real classic piece of American Muscle.... Also the episode names are formatted as license plates as a reference to the games.
“Quiet” was created for the show. The main character “John Doe” is actually from the game, “Twisted Metal: Black”. A lot of people consider that game to be one of the better ones(if not the best) of the series and it’s also pretty easy to find because of a PS4 port. There’s quite a few characters from the games hidden throughout the season.
It's easy to see that the bulk of inspiration came from Black but that game took place where? Lol So THATS the world building. It's gonna b a haven for HIM lol
Anthony Mackie is fantastic, I seriously think he's underrated due to being known as Falcon in such a star-studded cast. But holy crap, the Sweet Tooth actor STOLE this entire series. He was fucking fantastic.
I am 39. Me and my best friend grew up playing the heck out of this franchise. An exclusive game for the best gaming platform there is in Playstation. Even during our junior and senior years of H.S. we were allowed to leave school for lunch, so we would go get fast food, scarf it fast at my friends house and play twisted metal all the time for about 40 minutes. Miss those good ol' days. P.s. i do not remember which all versions i played. But i do recall twisted metal possibly being the best one. Came out in 2001. "Twisted Metal Black". I am a bit confused though having just looked right now that the last one came out in 2012. With all the online gaming there is it amazes me they haven't made a new one. Especially with all the updated graphics they can do.
@@maplenutsreact Don't have to be in H.S. to make new friends with like minded interests. 😉 I still have those same interests. Having watched this series and the Gran Turismo movie, both of which i loved, just made me start playing Gran Turismo 5 and Twisted Metal 2012 again on my ps3! Also if you want a good movie to watch for your channel that is gaming related and one of my childhood favs that still holds up with all the 80's vibes/feels, check out the movie "The Wizard". Think you will really enjoy it!
Aww you're so right ❤ Also thank you for the recommendation! I'm so curious as to what videogame(s) get referenced in "The Wizard"... guess we'll just have to watch it to find out! Haha @@WheresWaldo05
I watched the show and finished it. I loved it and was amazing. My favorite character was Sweet Tooth played by Joe Seanoa and voiced by Will Arnett. The back story of Sweet Tooth’s story was good too. I loved the video games growing up. My favorite Twisted Metal games are Twisted Metal 2 and Twisted Metal on PS3 plus in episode 2 when Anthony says right right down up is a code from 1 of the video games as well
They recently released the first two games on ps4/ps5. I replayed the first game and it is surprisingly still quite playable once you get used to using the quick turn button.
Oh Twisted Metal:Black is my favorite twisted metal. It's pretty dark storywise, but it's a PS2 era Twisted Metal game I'd recommend if you haven't played it yet
Ooooh! Okay that makes sense. I knew Outlaw as the brother and sister drivers. I'm really impressed they could find a way to write both sets of Outlaw characters in! @@periwinkle43
I'd love to see yall react to this whole series! I'd also recommend to watch the full like character cut scenes from.Twisted Metal Black they have tons of references!
My pleasure! Yo, there's two movies on Tubi right now, that are going away in a few days: Fletch (1985) and Fletch Lives (1989). They're two fun Chevy Chase movies. I highly suggest recording a reaction to them while reacting to them is absolutely FREE. Treat this as nothing more than a hot tip. Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍
You're welcome! In fact, Tubi is a great source of free movies and series. If you can find it there, might as well take advantage of it. Go with God and Be Safe from Evil. 😎 👍
Twisted Metal 2 and Vigilante 8 are the best car combat games ever made. They are both ps1 games. That's why it's a "dead genre". Every game that came after fell short in multiple aspects. That said, you might like TM 2012 (the one you mentioned), or TM Black. A lot of people like black. I can't stand Black cause no ramming physics. How do you make ANY car game without ramming physics... It's an insane blind spot for the genre.

If you want a great Twisted Metal game on PS2, try picking up Head On. It's a direct sequel to 2 on the PS1.

Omg yaaay! ❤❤❤
Just a fun show!! They did a great job with adding in the game elements.. hope for a season 2!
Twisted Metal Black, Head On, and 2012 are all solid. Twisted Metal 2 is my favorite personally though.
Oooo okay good to know, thank you!! ❤
