    LOVED the video. Really like all the videos funny but gives good insight. We will be traveling to Iceland next AUG/SEPT still deciding. We will be doing the ring road and will be there for 14 days. Was wondering which way to drive the ring road. Clockwise or counter clockwise? Would love to hear your thoughts. We will be doing the West Fjords too.

    • @TimeWarpIceland

      In my opinion, it doesn't matter. Although the south is dense in places of interest and there are some benefits of starting there while you are full of energy. But to be honest, I would let the weather decide. If the forecast is better in the North for the first few days go clockwise, if it's better in the south go counterclockwise. Have a great trip 😊

    Love the video, didnt see one thing about Galway, Cork or Donegal so youve convinced me to head here instead. Landing the 11th of June - first trip of many (I hope)
    What about cycling? A possibility or an exercise in massochism ? Thanks ahgain for all the vids.

    • @TimeWarpIceland
      @TimeWarpIceland  Год назад

      😅 It's definitely both. Plenty of people circle the whole circle. You will have strong headwind 100% of the way. The roads are narrow and you'll piss of motorists. But somehow nobody has been injured so far that I know of. I used to cycle a lot and my personal record was 100km east. It was fun and no problem when I was in good form.

    Love the humor! "itinerary" really is a weird word. But you as an Icelandic saying you have no idea how to pronounce it, makes it even funnier, considering the Icelanding language consists of only such words! Also the "perfect instagram (but not me)" joke made me laugh out loud!
    I was going to ask if you could list the names in order in the description or even better make a map of it... just to find out you did exactly that! Thanks, will be a great help on my trip, just in time for me!
    (do you need a 4x4 on some of the suggested places / are there F type roads?)

      But yes - actually I did. But I can't remember it completely anymore. I mean I don't want a 4x4 and don't plan with it, so I probably didn't remember it as important. I guess, I'll rewatch it!

(Now a small dust of her ashes rests in the ruins of the shipyard east of Grindavik.) Me and my son once. Men and my "younger" sister (73) once but she will follow next trip. We will spend one month but I think it is to short to see everyting.

      Good point. The last two times I went past there I intend to stop but canceled due to bad weather. The drive there and into Húsafell are a great place to stop. I actually have footage from there that didn't make it into a video. At least not yet. We visited the canyon baths. Quite expensive but very nice. I think it's not on itineraries because it's not on the ring road. But it's a diversion that is worth taking and you bring up a good point. Next time I won't let weather stop me and I'll create a Húsafell video which will include those waterfalla. Have a great eight trip 😊
