Mr. Batteau first caught my attention as a songwriter. He has writing credits on two Bonnie Raitt singles, "Goin' Wild for You" and "The Bed I Made."
Even Mr. Batteau has said the project he's most proud of was Soul Mission, whom he collaborated with Darrell Brown. That was an all-star cast of musicians and performers. Among them were Tata Vega, Mavis Staples, Alfie Silas, Booker T. Jones, Steve Cropper, Freddie Washington, James Gadson, and Michael McDonald.
I tried listening to this, while relaxing on the beach sands in the middle of the night, the sound of the waves and this music just fused perfectly and it was great after that I played Spyro gyra's it doesn't matter. It killed me.
Good to hear the male perspective of this wonderful track . Have always loved the Manhattan Transfer version too 👍🏾
