WOW!!!!! My whole family is from Cap Haitien....My bloodline has walked , worked ,fought for independence , and created generations of us on the grounds that you walk on.... You are basically filming my history.... This place is where it all started for me.....very grateful of you....mèsi frè
Well that’s the problem unfortunately, generations died for independence in order for other generations to immigrate and leave the country to a bunch of thieves !
From a guy from Congo, who lives in the US, but love Haiti a lot; I am so glad to see something positive about Haiti. Anytime they talk about haiti in the US, it's like it was a war zone. If they don't talk about gang violence, then they have to talk about earthquakes or hurricanes. Glad to see that Haitians are happy, resilient people, who live a normal life like most people. I am also glad to see that even though Haitians go through tough times from time to time like most people around the world, they also enjoy life.
We have a substantial Haitian diaspora in Congo, and they were very helpful to my country when we became independent. I love Haiti, and I know that a lot of people in my country and around the world get their inspiration from the Haitian people.
If you can, plz do; I haven't been back to Congo for 14 years, and I know that things are way different now, compared to the way they used to be. If you do go, make sure that you have a plan A and a plan B, just so you can avoid any unpleasant surprise. The country has a lot to offer, I am pretty sure that you would enjoy your time.

Great video Dom! Thanks for sharing. I'm a Native Black American from Florida, so I'm very familiar with Haitians. It's great to see another side of Haiti. However, I see a lot of opportunities for this BLVD. The government could've built a long lasting seawall. A beautiful sidewalk with benches, plants, trees, and a solid guardrail where people can lean on and enjoy the breeze from the ocean. They can make this street become like a Broadway, an entertainment district with a great nightlife with great lights including Bars, Restaurants, Concert halls, trolleys or special mini buses to take people from point A to point B. That would've been a great tourist destination and created a lot of jobs for the community. Unfortunately, the Haitian Government lacks those kind of visions. I know private institutions can chip in too, but politic in Haiti is too crazy. It's not too late, but will this ever happen? I'm hopeful. Thanks for posting this video Philly Dom.

You should try walking towards the end of the boulevard one day Philly. There are some old fortifications there left from colonial days. It’s three of them I think, Fort Magny which is under renovation, Fort Picolet the largest one is all the way down the coast, and another one.

Go for August 14th and 15th take a camera with you to record because it's gonna be epic. It's the founding date of cap-haitien celebration 🍾 😍
#flextaxi is the best to use in the city but there are other options.
Jamaican here saying 1 love to you all
This is a nice video on the fun activities in Cap-Haïtien 🙂💞👌🏾
Does anyone know how to contact the Cap-Haïtien police department if help is needed? Also, where is the best hospital in Cap-Haïtien if someone needs medical services?
@@jrfutube2013 114 is the Police number in Haiti just like 911 in the US. The Justinien University Hospital is the main hospital in Cap Haitien.
You are amazing Philly Dom. I wish I had your courage to return to Haïti like you but I have to deal with my past fears concerning my country of birth. I wish you continued success in Haïti and in all your travels 👏🏾🙏🏿

Even being considered poorer, in my opinion Haitian women seem to dress classier than their counterparts in the Dominican Republic. And they still look amazing.
It's nice 2 see my people living better then me peace.
I like your style... not trying to be overly cool or anything. Greetings from Berlin
Thanks 🙏👍
Loving it from *Dakar Sénégal **W.Africa** 🇸🇳✊*
You again 😂😂😂 you also here too
I’m happy to see that covid isn’t an issue anyway , no masks very smart , not like medical care would be a problem in that country I’m sure.
Super interesting video though , with a lot of beauties too , thanks man !!
I am haitian, I love au cape-haitien , it's beautiful over there
Nice video, but when you film in a beautiful sun-kissed skin country you need to adjust the camera's contrast.
Thanks for the tip I'm still learn how to use the camera
You should try walking towards the end of the boulevard one day Philly. There are some old fortifications there left from colonial days. It’s three of them I think, Fort Magny which is under renovation, Fort Picolet the largest one is all the way down the coast, and another one.
Great information thanks I will try
i from the Caribbean and i see how they are checking you out real good lol when you walking in those establishments. that look they give is something you only see on certain islands like jamaica and haiti.
