So glad i found this channel. You are beast with galaxy eyes. Ive alreaded watched all your vids and decided to sub straight away. U might actually be the best Galaxy Eyes player out there. Ive been loving this archetype since the very start, but with regret in the hart started realising it might not be that viable. Then the new support started coming out couple years ago with galaxy trance and the rest. And now we got some again, and when searching for vids looking how they worked in actual play, what exactly happened to pass my way but your vids. Just perfect on time. Ive never seen a player end with such massive boards and/or beating popular decks with it on a consistent basis, no doubt cause of your extensive knowledge of the archetype due to playing it so long already and being such a fan yourself. You made it as great as it should be, and which it deserves.. A sub well earned!! Keep it going.
it is incredibly frustrating that tachyon transmigration remains unsearchable, because no feeling in the world could ever top watching a floowandereeze or tearlaments player go CL5 on effects, and then you chain it and tell them you're gonna take that giant chain of effects, shove it back into the netdecked pile it came from, and punch them for 12k on the crackback.
Been a long time Galaxy player and here are some of my opinions: - Astral Kuribo can be used with a few copies of Small World in case you worry about consistency whilst not being a Garnet. I tried it and it felt okay but that was before the new support wave. Now I don't see the room if you want to stick to 40 cards. - Galactikuriboh: I prefer Kuriphoton as that can actually stop you getting OTK'd after they broke your board when you went first and can also be searched by Lord the moment you'd need it. - Numeron Creation: I just don't see the point. In your usual combo going first you used Trance and at best ended up with Hope Harbinger, Lord and maybe Solflare. What else is there for Galaxy-Eyes to summon? And going second you just try to play through all the negates and OTK with Prime-Afterglow - Photon Sanctuary: Used to play 3 but it kinda fell out of favor for me. I don't know it's jsut with the new support I never felt I needed it or missed it when I cut it. Maybe I'll bring back 1 copy just for the option. - I really want Tachyon Transmigration to work and I tried it soooooo many times but it's just so unreliable. Maybe one day - Galaxy Cyclone I don't know. Face-down backrow, okay, but for active floodgates you need to get it into the GY whilst the floodgate tends to prevent you from using your usual methods. Lightning Vortex and Twin Twister just seem the better option - Photon Hand: way too restrictive to be a viable option. - Hyper Galaxy and Photon Stream: Both are single target, targeting removals with restrictions that can bite you at a bad time. Haven't tried Photon Stream with the new support but I think I'd favor it against Hyper Galaxy because it's a more flexible form of disruption you can search at the end of your combo if you have searchpower left.
I agree with most of what you've said. This tierlist doesn't mean you should run 3 copies of whatever is in S tier. It literally just mean it's fine to run 1 copy without hindering your consistency too much. For example, I only run 1 copy of Photon Sanctuary because its a very easy way to special summon Solflare or allow me to special summon / use cards like Vanisher, Orbital or Emperor (you need a Galaxy or Photon monster in the GY or on the field). That being said. I also agree with your statement on Galaxy Cyclone. If you've seen my deck profiles, I prefer the standard staple cards. But this video is specifically for non-staple cards like Twin Twister, Cosmic cyclone or even Galaxy-Eyes core cards like Wizard, Soldier and Trance. This video was for cards that you may have forgotten that exist but are still useful to an extent. Your comment on Photon is also very valid, there is literally better monster control cards that I would run. Just like Galaxy zero, I would run Monster reborn instead but I just wanted to focus on niche Galaxy-Eyes related or semi-related cards that are still useful Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it :)
@@CMPLX_Names Actually have some updates myself. I'm honest I misread Photon Stream after all this time and missed the clause that you need GEPD to use it on the opponent's turn, so Hyper Galaxy is definitely superior in terms of activation requirements. I'm also experimenting with cutting Thrasher and using more copies of Sanctuary. The only thing Thrasher had going that Sanctuary didn't was being able to Rank 4 Xyz but after extensive playtesting I came to the conclusion that I've never actually used it for that since usually I use Summoner or Trance for Rank 4. The only thing left is being a free Orbital target and here Sanctuary is clearly superior because it's also an instant Solflare or can be used as fodder for GEPD/Emperor in case of a bad hand.
I run an almost entirely tachyon dragon deck, and with all the traps combined that boss monster is goddamned unkillable. but yeah, probably not on a photon dragon deck
I run Tachyon Transmigration and it's saved me more times than I can count. It's just a one off I put in the deck to help me out of sticky situations if I manage to draw it. Though I only play Master Duel
Regarding Transmigration, if a card says activate once per turn and you negate the activation they can play it again. This is mostly only seen to normal spells nowadays. If a card says use once per turn (which is what we mostly see now) and you negate the activation, they cannot play it again because there was an attempt to use it. Negating activation and effect usually leads to the same outcome in that it is negated. This distinction is relevant for cards that say 'activation cannot be negated', like Ash Blossom being able to negate under Magical Meltdown, because it negates the fusion effect.
I think its important to run 1 galaxy knight if your opponent is running nibirus, so if you have galaxy soldier and photon dragon in your hand, you can search for knight and make photon lord before 5th summon. It helps me a lot when I dont have other ways to do photon lord before the 5th summon, which is a problem for galaxy summoner, since its not level 8 when its needed.
I run Neo Galaxy Eyes casually for the situational chance of having the materials to summon it against a Red Supernova even though the Supernova guy probably has something to interrupt me
Small world is quite underrated card for galaxy eyes, it really helps with consistency. If you include astralkuriboh you can search any monster in your deck(i play on md tho)
I run photon advancer where I used to run photon thrasher as advancer can be special summoned at any time for rank 4 assistance and also it can be summoned with Galaxy photon dragon on field and made level 8 to get to more rank 8 monsters. I’d rather draw 1 advancer and 1 vanisher than 2 vanisher or 2 thrasher so that was my train of thought too
Drawing 2 Vanishers is completely fine. Most of the time the extra copy with be discord material for Galaxy Soldier, Twin Twister or Solflare. The problem with Advancer is that it requires another monster on the field to be Summoned for it to be summon. It also provides no other utility other than being able to xyz summon with it. Most of the time you'll be able to do this extremely easily.
@@CMPLX_Names i don’t play twin twisters but drawing more than 1 vanisher is still Galaxy soldier fodder. I’ve been updating my list recently and I still play 2 advancer but I also play 3 vanisher now too
Photon change is underrated that card has saved me a lot against tearlement and other decks, being able to send photon jumper to the grave and summon galaxy eyes on your opponent’s turn and get galaxy trance is something that keeps combos going
I'll have to keep this video in mind once Master Duel gets updated with Photon Hypernova. Photon Emperor looks pretty appealing, for one. With Galaxy Eyes having a pretty tight Extra Deck, especially with Ciphers, have you considered other Rank 5 alternatives to Nova-Infinity, such as Pleaides, Chronomaly Vimana, No. 61 Volcasaurus and Tiras?

Maybe it’s just me, but I figured I would point it out. Looking forward to the next one :)
Would you think Galaxy Eyes could compete in this format? It's not top tier but could good enough to complete in Rouge? Also your opinion on Last Hope Numbers?
I see Galaxy Eyes as another version of Dinosaurs. I would say with the mew support they are decent against meta decks. You just need to draw any hand trap/staple cards against decks like Labyrinth or Kashtira which have "floodgate" effects
I agree, but it isn't the best of your first turn. In this current format the games ends in turn 1, 2 or 3. If we ever get a stall meta with more decks like runick, Galaxy Cleric is situational/viable.

It would make sense to run a OTK the problem with that is if you get ashed or disrupted you lose so I find for me personally to build a deck that'll grind an last past turn 2 most meta decks are only good for 5-8 turns cause they don't really do the long haul
Yes, I agree. In fact, you should take all my videos and deck list with a grain of salt because it is entirely dependent on the format/meta and your own playstyle. Regarding Neo Galaxy eyes, you can use Eternal galaxy to Xyz summon it if you had used Galaxy eyes as a material for Galaxy Photon Dragon or Blast Dragon, the trap regards the summon as an Xyz summon and Neo Galaxy effect says if Galaxy eyes is used as a material it negates all face up cards on the field (all this through the use of galaxy summoner ofc) (since galaxy eyes is already a material at this point what would be the ruling here I wonder?)
Wouldn't count for the negation effect, because its galaxy summoner, not galaxy eyes summoner. A very important distinction, or else eternal galaxy and neo would be a lot better. Not to eternal doesn't have its place, but its a one off if anything

I would but it in Situational (B tier) The card is level 8 and can revive one of your monsters but it's a dark monster, meaning it clashes with Trance and Photon Sanctuary, two of the most important cards you may run. That being said, if you're running cards that clash with Trance that's its a fine card to run. The cost isn't too much, getting 3 light monsters to the GY is fairly easy.
Yooo @CMPLX, I found a simple combo on another channel that seems incredibly useful for the deck ! Small World, search Guiding Ariadne using *any* Galaxy or Photon card, follow the basic Cipher EX combo line BUT before using it to make Solflare, rank it up to Cipher Blade and destroy Ariadne. You now have a Tachyon Transmigration searcher. It can be a tiny bit bricky as you need to run Tachyon transmigration at 3 (or less if you use other counter-traps i guess), but Small World is always live in Galaxy/Photon, and drawing ariadne isn't even a problem. Just wanted to share that one with my fellow Galaxy duelist o/
I would but it in Situational. Its a card that replies on your opponent to be effective. If we're ever in a meta where backrow removal is strong then it will go to S tier
Completely agree. Horrible, HORRIBLE staple tier. I was watching it saying out loud "is this a joke? Is he trying to sabotage new galaxy eyes players in the mirror, or in general?"
Numeron Creation is a terrible card, this is so useful than accelight, the requirement is so heavy, 3 fucking monsters with *3000* atk? can you do that? in what circumstances?
Usually via Afterglows effect when detaching from Cipher X then using Galaxy Trance to get 2 Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon on the field. Its a very common board to have.

Why is the music 3× louder than the audio?
Have u considered chaos dragon levianeer
I would but it in Situational (B tier) The card is level 8 and can revive one of your monsters but it's a dark monster, meaning it clashes with Trance and Photon Sanctuary, two of the most important cards you may run. That being said, if you're running cards that clash with Trance that's its a fine card to run. The cost isn't too much, getting 3 light monsters to the GY is fairly easy.
Yooo @CMPLX, I found a simple combo on another channel that seems incredibly useful for the deck !
Small World, search Guiding Ariadne using *any* Galaxy or Photon card, follow the basic Cipher EX combo line
BUT before using it to make Solflare, rank it up to Cipher Blade and destroy Ariadne.
What about photon timestop?
I would but it in Situational. Its a card that replies on your opponent to be effective. If we're ever in a meta where backrow removal is strong then it will go to S tier
This clearly proves he doesn’t play Galaxy-Eyes lol. Photon Hand and Photon Stream of Destruction in Staple Tier? LOL
Completely agree. Horrible, HORRIBLE staple tier. I was watching it saying out loud "is this a joke? Is he trying to sabotage new galaxy eyes players in the mirror, or in general?"
Just Galaxy Photon Dragon searches photon cards right? Spells
Yes, Galaxy and Photon monsters, spells and traps
@@CMPLX_Names thanks, how many tachyon trans are you suggesting?
I reeeeaally disagree with some choices...
Some r fine, but some are straight up bad
Numeron Creation is a terrible card, this is so useful than accelight, the requirement is so heavy, 3 fucking monsters with *3000* atk? can you do that? in what circumstances?
Usually via Afterglows effect when detaching from Cipher X then using Galaxy Trance to get 2 Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon on the field. Its a very common board to have.
@@CMPLX_Names cool, im going to test this
It's a win-more card. Don't play it.
Your putting a lot of stock into Galaxy trance. This deck can’t put up boards that’s the problem
For now...
It's an OTK going second deck. He didn't cover the actual staples of the deck or the hand traps like Nib.
I actually can't believe how bad this list is. The "staple" section is filled to the brim with unplayable cards.
