Thanks for this video. I'm a beginner and this made me feel a lot more confident in thinking big and starting small. I have a much more clear path now!

I'm an old eventer, now going back to hopefully GP dressage. Love these tips. I have plenty more questions. Any tips on how to find the "right" coach? I find it hard as someone that has ridden for 58 years to find a mature coach that might understand some of my medical issues.

Finding the 'right' coach can be difficult, that's for sure. My rule of thumb is you've got to try them 3 times before you can call it a success or failure (and as a coach, I try not to judge a student before I've seen them 3 times, either). Try to do this in a short space of time, say 3 times in 3 weeks or similar. And don't be afraid of the younger coaches - some of them are mature minded (you just have to work out which ones!).
Staying on top of your medical issues will also help your coach to help you be the best you can be. Try and get the most up-to-date treatment/solution for your issues and keep your coach in the loop. If they're a good coach, they'll be interested and willing to do any necessary workarounds. Best of luck!
