- In this video of a day in the life with cerebral palsy, we go to a wheelchair basketball tournament that was in New Lenox, IL. We were invited by our friend who plays for the Lincolnway Special Recreation Association team. We had so much fun watching this game and hope you do too!

I have played wheelchair basketball once upon a time. It is highly competitive, and a joy to watch and play. It does my heart good to see young people taking interest.

The umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck 3 times I needed air when I was born I play with dolls and barbies and accessories books and movies and music cds and d.v.d.s and I have cancer I pretty much play by myself with the toys I have at least I have my families back with little mew mew his name is Wilson lynch but anyways have a great day I don't want to bore you or bother you

How old does Dallas have to be in order to play on the team?
It's scary when they flip, but they work hard to know how to go down so that they don't crack their heads on the floor.
Great point! Yeah it is so intense watching them play they are hardcore! Good question too. I think they can start very young. At the Kids Camp Dallas went to, there are a lot of elementary school age kids. It’s such a great sport!
@@discoverwithdallas Basket ball and hockey seem to be the 2 big ones. And I know a lot of able body people play. too. A friend with spina bifida who plays sled hockey, her teen son and husband also play even though not disabled.
