The most underrated Brandy album. She was 25 and the media couldn’t accept her growing up. This was an amazing review. And you are so right. Her music gets better with time because we are developing a better ear for good music. Such a great point.
Such a good review. "I Tried" is my all time favorite Brandy song. I wish it would've been a single. Was so happy to see such a positive reaction to it! And "Afrodisiac" is still my favorite Brandy album. You were spot on with all the information. The world kind of turned their back on her during this album because it turned out that she and her baby daddy weren't "actually" married. Timbaland is my favorite producer and he and Kanye West gave Brandy fire on these songs! It also crossed Coldplay over to the black community with her references to Coldplay. I mean I had seen and liked some of their songs on MTV, and VH1 but I immediately bought their first two albums and now am a lifelong fan because if Brandy was into them...then I am now into them. 😂 Chris Martin is so dreamy. Glad you liked the album!
I Tried and Focus are some of my favorite songs EVERRRRR! The writing, the production, the message, the vocals! I strive to create something that makes other feel the way those 2 songs make me feel cause wooooh!! ❤
Can you please react to “Bridge To Love,” by Brandy ft. Genuwine. Also, “Quickly,” John Legend ft. Brandy? Thank you. Hope you had a merry Christmas! 😊
While “Full Moon” was Brandy’s magnum opus, “Afrodisiac” was her experimental soundstage where she played around with her voice more to deliver moods and feelings to the listener. She and timbaland were experimenting heavy and I wish we could get more of this era. “B7” definitely is a nod to this album.
This is my second fav Brandy album. I LOVE "Where You Wanna Be" lol. Like LOVE! And that was Kanye talking in the beginning. He produced that one. My top 3 are How I Feel, Focus and I Tried. This would be a perfect album for me if they took off Sadiddy and Turn It Up. You should check out "Nodding Off", "2nd Thought" and "Sirens". They were from these recording sessions. I also thought "Come As You Are" was just ok the first time I heard it. But after a few listens I fell in love. Especially in some dope speakers. GREAT REVIEW!
Haha I’m actually not too crazy about ‘Sadiddy’ or ‘Turn It Up’ either. I wouldn’t take them off tho but they are the weakest songs probably. It’s funny cuz sometimes I’m really vibing to songs in the moment then when I go and edit I’m like nah this ain’t it. Lol
Yesss my favorite Brandy album 👏🏾 it’s so personal, that’s one of the reasons why I love it so much and it’s moody vibe...Should I Go also makes me quite emotional she was really was at a crossroad in her life and I think we as humans can all relate. It’s really just an amazing album(2/11 is definitely in my top also). I hope everyone had an great Christmas!!!
This was a fantastically well thought out and detailed review. Nice one on all the effort and work that you put into your evaluation of this body of work. This is one of the best albums ever made and probably one of the most underrated. My favourite songs are I tried and Finally.
I really enjoyed your reaction and review...and yes, we will always get quality and a great body of work when it comes to a BRANDY ALBUM ...Nothing Less. Thank you Zachary Michaels for this very entertaining reaction and review. Well Done!!!!!!! 10/10 YES!!!
I always listen to brandy singles and was a fan but this was first album of hers I bought and I became a huge fan it was one of best female Rnb albums that year she needs to link with timbaland again
I love how she gave nods to prior projects in b7. She closed out on that with an emotional roller coaster "Bye Bipolar" that puts you deep in your feelings. It's the little gems like this! Should I Go is a "well you said it, but I was thinking it' moment!!
Brandy Afrodisiac 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 2004 best album wasn't Confession. It was Brandy Afrodisiac💯. Teedra Moses Complex Simplicity was another great album that year. Goapele Even Closer was another album that was better than Confession. Usher was 4th to those 3 ladies that year
Merry Christmas y’all!!! You Brandy fans were the first to support this channel so here’s my little Christmas thank you! Enjoy! 😊🎄
Thanks! Merry Christmas to you!

“Focus” is a masterpiece. The vibe, her delivery and production is heavenly.
SO GOOD
Thissssss
“Come as you are” written by the late great Static Major🙏🏾🕊
You’re not the only who cried when first hearing “Should I Go” I cried so hard when I first heard it. This is definitely a classic album. Great review
🥺😭
This album was so damn good. Necessary, Talk About Our Love and I Tried are like my top three. And Who Is She To You she gave it us a meal.
Whenever I see a Brandy album/song review from you I get way so excited! I love every album from her.

Same with coldplay. My fav band because of her. And clocks is my fave song by them because of this song.
I Tried and Focus are some of my favorite songs EVERRRRR! The writing, the production, the message, the vocals! I strive to create something that makes other feel the way those 2 songs make me feel cause wooooh!! ❤
Thissssss!!!!!!!
This album is top tier in her discography, and I just got into it. I always paid it dust without actually diving into it. Superb
Afrodisiac🔥 Man where do I even begin Brandy give her all like wow man😍❤️✨🔥

Afrodisiac is still 🔥🔥, Brandy & Timbo need to make another album
Love the album and loved this review! "SAY YOU WILL" should've been in top 3 tho 😅

100% agree haha-not a fan of sadiddy and turn it up. And I LOVE the vocal production on where you wanna be!

People never realize how she uses her voice for various emotions she wants you feel
Yess I waiting on this 👏🏾 hopefully you react to Human and Two Eleven🤞🏾
Thanks for reacting! My 3rd favorite project from her. I Tried and Focus are my favorites. Would love another Brandy/Timbaland collab project!
Underrated Album and my personal fave of hers

Necessary is my favourite just soothes my soul
I always listen to brandy singles and was a fan but this was first album of hers I bought and I became a huge fan it was one of best female Rnb albums that year she needs to link with timbaland again
Don’t forget, she has an album with her family, “a family business” soundtrack from their show, a family business

Necessary is an underrated classic
One of my favorite albums from her. It was so slept on but a plus
She rrally stepped out with this album
Can't wait for The weeknd's Thursday mixtape reaction❣ Merry Christmassss! 😊
"Focus" should've been before or after "I Tried."
Watched you acting on Family Reunion NETFLIX SERIES Love your Brandy reviews
Haha wow I forgot I worked on that! Thanks for watching my reviews I’m glad you like em! 😉
Amazing review!!!
It was "risque" for Brandy lmaooooo
Brandy was originally going to be on my boo with Usher but his label wanted someone who was dominating radio.
YESSSSSSSSS
“Should I Go”
I saw somewhere that the beat for Saddidy was turned down by Jay Z but Brandy liked it.
Sadiddy is probably the only song I don't like. Something about it sounds dated to me
He turned down Come As You Are beat
It does sound very very dated
Who is she to you is my favorite
Brandy
Afrodisiac
