Coogan did it better in this live show but I think Brydons was better in the tv show they did together on ‘The Trip’ albeit Coogan gave the funniest line now made famous “she was only 16 years old.”

What I love about this is the moment when the idea for this was just a nano second thought, to develop the idea, and realise it into it happening to the pleasure of all who have watched it...
You can tell from Danny Baker's reaction that nobody other than Brydon and Coogan knew Michael Caine was sat in that box with them the whole time. Awesome.
Danny was in on it. Ironically he was only in that seat because he got bumped up at the very last minute. Talked about it in his stage show. He did what was asked of him. Act like Micheal Caine wasn't there and be surprised when he appears.
Peter Serafinowicz does a spot on Michael Caine as well. Coogan, Brydon, and Serafinowicz have deep enough voices to pull it off, and people tend to overlook that Michael Caine has a fairly deep, resonant voice. That's the same thing about Christopher Walken impressions. People rarely pull it off, because they don't get that his voice has a deep gruffness, even though he tends to speak softly and at the top of his voice. They just do the extreme pitch changes, and become that douchey guy at the party that people think is a great impressionist. Kevin Pollak does a great Walken, because he gets the subtleties of his voice, and not just the extreme pitch changes.
When Michael caine, told them you were good comedians, but we're out of shape...that's a reference to the scene in get Carter, where he told alf Robert's "your a big man, but your out of shape"...cue. Steve coogans, next line.."didn't you kill alf Robert's"...very subtle humour....would go over the heads of a lot of people, if you hadn't seen "get Carter"
Let us get one thing 100% straight. Maurice Micklewhite aka Sir Michael Caine is a SOUTH Londoner from The Walworth Road. Used to attend the local Boys Club= Clubland. Just half-a-mile from The Elephabt and Castle. He is NOT ( as I have seen twice recently ) from the ruddy East End ! lol....I am from the same High Street and 15 years younger..

There's nothing so funny to me as this. Two men arguing about Michael Caine in Michael Caine voices while the real Michael Caine looks on in confusion xD It's the best voice for arguing too lol. "You are taking the mickey out of me and I DO NOT LIKE IT!"

michael caine's michael caine is the third best michael caine in this
Yeah, after Steve and Rob's mother
SuperAye 独立 It’s Sir Michael Caine.
@@michaelcaine5591 Michael's English is actually a lot more efficient than that, with very little repetition. Saying things twice isn't what he does.
Away to yo
Still not sure that really was Sir Michael Caine
Michael is fighting so hard not to die from laughing. He genuinely loves every impression thats been done of him
Of the three, Steve Coogan clearly does the best Michael Caine.
I think Rob Brydon nailed it
Coogan did it better in this live show but I think Brydons was better in the tv show they did together on ‘The Trip’ albeit Coogan gave the funniest line now made famous “she was only 16 years old.”
@@kf6260 Steve Brydon was spot on.
The old fella at the end wasn’t too bad.
That guy at the end does a pretty good Michael Caine.
meeh, Pretty mediocre Michael Caine impersionation.
Ooft if only Brydon said this in the video!
I disagree. The other two were much better. And Steve's was the best. (;-))

Michael Caine's most endearing quality may be his self-effacing sense of humor.
He's brilliant as both an actor and a human being.
@brightfart If he is, it doesn't show.
That stare down he does when he stands up from behind the program is priceless
2:08 "I do not want to bury another Batman."
weird. I heard it as "I don't want to carry another Batman." lol. You're prob right, but they both apply.
"how many batmans have you buried?!"

Brydon’s Caine is the best, always has been.
Coogan and Brydon looking up at Caine like two naughty school boys 😂
They’re going to get Cained
Excellent impression of Michael Caine by ... Michael Caine. Not many people know that.
If I ever meet him, I'll tell him I didn't know that.
Imagine being so famous that two wonderfully talented performers (famous in their own right) are doing impressions of you
Oh yes, let’s do……….
What I love about this is the moment when the idea for this was just a nano second thought, to develop the idea, and realise it into it happening to the pleasure of all who have watched it...
She was only 15
Or the unreluctant one in "Blame It On Rio."
What, who??Who says that?
She wasn't under 16 in that film.
she?
Michelle Johnson was 17 in the film Blame it on Rio!

😅 when he stood up he was like 'WTF are you two doing! 😤' this was one of the funniest skits I've seen in a while. God bless Michael Caine
Brilliant! Never seen this before, Rob and Steve must have been honoured to steal the limelight
There's never a moment when Rob doesn't give a smile & love people clapping for him
Michael Caine is so awesome. I'm glad he's still alive and well
A national treasure.
“Hang on a minute lads, I’ve got a great idea”
Get yer skates on mate
How to nail your Michael Caine "my name is my cocaine"
The look on Caine's face when he stands up is brilliant!!
Cannot get enough of their impressions. So funny
remember that bit in The Trip where they shout "YOU'RE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLOODY DOORS OFF" at each other?
I only remember Coogan being nasty to Brydon... I wouldn't want to watch it again.
yeah it was a pretty boring movie tbh
There's so much more to it than that.
It wasn't a movie mate. It was a TV series.

I like how the opening is like the intro text of a dystopian sci fi movie
The audio level is far too low!

"top real"?! Oh dear.
Hr should have opened with "hello, my name is Michael Caine".
my name is Michael Paine, and I am a nosey neighbour
Phillip James "2 pounds of Cumberland Sausages?"
I guess "Zulu" was the cue for real Mr. Caine XD
You were wrong. It was the word "to", which immediately preceded the word "Zulu".
Apparently these three were in a Michael Caine impersonators competition, and Michael came third.
So MANY of the episodes are bangers
I had to look this up, Alf Roberts was a character on Coronation Street, the actor who played him was also in Get Carter, in which Carter kills him.
Nice to see a couple of Oscar nominated Brits in the box along with Michael Caine!
Caine's won two Oscars you know 😂🤡
@@chrisjames6327 there are two other Oscar nominees here in addition to Michael Caine!
And Danny Baker
The new Waldorf and Statler!
I've stayed at both of those.

That problem can and should be corrected with some audio sweetening, and then re-uploading that corrected-audio version to RUclips.
Brilliant, thanks for the upload 👍
Caine is saying an actual line of dialogue from "Get Carter" 1971.
"That's a very good Michael Caine." LOL

It's good that Michael Caine is immortal, so we'll never have to deal with that.

They needed Paul Whitehouse there as well 😂
I was there that night it. Was great fun
Really don’t think that the majority of the audience got the references to Get Carter or “didn’t you kill Alf Robert’s?”
"Didn't you kill Alf Roberts?"
How brilliant is Micheal Caine at doing Micheal Caine.
The Madness song 'Michael Caine' he did the words in it for free because one of his children liked Madness 😎
The strange thing about Stallone impressions, is that it’s not an impression of Stallone. It’s an impression of Rocky from the first movie.
