My great grandfather bought a shed, as it was then(!) in the 1920s, called 'Sunny Glow', it's still there, but a bit bigger now, I spent many a great time there on holiday when I was a child, running to the Jam Pot, I took my first steps as a baby on Gwithian Beach, near Sheep's Pool. Now I'm 63, ownership of 'Sunny Glow has long gone, I'm disabled and living in Manchester. I can assure everyone, despite being unable to drive, and this coronavirus, I WILL be on that beach in 2020, come what may!:)
Y'all are dedicated walkers to get out in that cold wind. Beautiful light! Lovely jonquils! They're blooming in South Alabama as well though it's a balmy 67 Fahrenheit here. And the church folks seemed quite active making those lovely kneelers! Another brisk walk you made in my stead. Thanks!
We have the first single trumpet daffodils coming out at work now but I know that they have been picking since January and selling them in Covent Garden Market in London. 67 Fahrenheit is a warm summer day for us - sounds lovely! Sarah :)
Enjoyed seeing the bits of spring popping out. You two are so funny together - suppose that's just part of loving one another! Thanks for sharing your beautiful walk with your adorable dogs.
It was pretty cold! I think the forecast said the windchill brought temps down to 2 degrees centigrade - the wind was coming directly from Iceland!! Bbrrrr!! Sarah :)
I really really enjoyed this blustery walk sitting next to a radiator drinking a cup of tea......You brave souls.....stunning scenery and I so love this area any time of the year. A really enjoyable video, well done guys and I am glad you warmed up with that hot chocolate well deserved.
Looked a great but cold day and I bet you enjoyed the cafe stop at the end. Great sceanry but awful instructions, telling you to walk 'passed' the pub. The old church was fantastic and I love exploring then and other old castles and ruins, which we are fortunate to have plenty of, in the North East of England. Enjoyable watch, thanks for taking us along. Cheers Alan
Your welcome and I am glad you enjoyed our video! We have a few old buildings, mostly old min engines, to explore, some castles, most have been restored and become tourist attractions, saving them for the future I guess. Most of churches are open and welcoming to visitors - great sanctuary when its cold!! Sarah :)
I love the ocean absolutely beautiful pretty darn windy it seemed just wanted to come by and show my support smash the like button and thank you for your support
The wind was a challenge during the edit and I had to abandon some lovely footage. I was relieved that we had enough for a decent length video! Phew! Sarah :)
Such beautiful landscapes down there in Cornwall... can't wait to visit Godrevy and the lovely café too, these walk videos are super useful. Agree about the lovely church too. And that cream tea and hot chocs... insane!! Great job. :D
Sounds like we have inspired you and that's so great because that's the reason we share our walks - to get people out exploring Cornwall! I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoy our videos - thank you! Sarah :)
You looked absolutely frozen! We have been out with our doggies too and at times this winter, it has been so bitter - even here in sunny West Sussex. Walking and exploring is still so enjoyable though when in Cornwall! Really enjoyed the walk. John empathised with Andrew - "pass the pub", especially after failing to hail the pasty van! Don't believe that John is a tubby pasty eater though, far from it, he eats everything scrummy and I put on the weight! So unfair - he is 6ft 5 and very slim! We loved that hot chocolate from the little cafe - it looked like a meal in itself! You two really make us laugh - Andrew is rather like John, insofar as you never know quite what little gem or words of wisdom he will come out with next! Keep up the walks and making us laugh - we are spoiled for choice and will have to pack in so many walks in September.
Looks like a lovely day, thanks for sharing. We have two dogs, don't take them out for long walks, shame on us lol Hope you guys are having a good day...
Our dogs love long walks, they get so excited when they see the Cornish Walking Trails bag come out of the cupboard! I think they love it as much as we do! Sarah
The Godrevy lighthouse is neat and in a beautiful area! Such cute cottages. Very pretty church too! Spring is on it's way to you! We like Andrew's idea...stop in the pub...nice try Andrew... You guys are so cute and funny! Thanks for taking us along on this cold hike! Okay, that hot chocolate is UNREAL!!!
Cheers - thank you, so do we! We don't want RUclips messing with our subscriptions!! LOL! Thanks for your comments! Sarah :) Look forward to watching your content! xx
Just bumped into this lovely video. I am invited to a celebration in the South of England in January, and immediately decided I will also take a detour to St. Ives for a few days and do some walks in the area. I have been recommended to travel to St. Ives in the non touristy season, and now I will. And I remembered you had made this video from Godrevy. I will bring watreproof clothes, GoreTex shoes, woolen layers, wooly hat and mittens and the tide tables, and explore the Godrevy beach with its fantastic views and caves plus walk a bit further to take a good look down to Mutton Cove to see if there are any seals there.
@@CornishWalkingTrails The yearly precipitation in Bergen is more than twice the amount as in St. Ives, so I am used to pack sensible clothes. You never know when it can be chucking it down anyway 😅 We even brought waterproofs this summer - just in case 🤣🤣🤣 I will tell you when I am back home. Torunn 😊
A brave walk in the February wind - but it`s windy all the time at Godrevy, at least when we go there. We like to see the seals at Mutton Cove. Thanks for another really enjoyable video.
I know exactly where you mean, for the seal colony! Our local news featured the colony, telling us how the spring tides combined with the rough seas had swept lots of mums and pups into the sea. A lot of the pups have been rescued and reared in the Seal Sanctuary this year - I hear they are doing well though! Sarah :)
Hi Sarah and Andrew - would you have any objection to me referring to your RUclips channel in my blog? Please see snoppersays.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/heres-hoping.html I won`t post it until I hear from you. Many thanks.
Hi Peter, that is a lovely recognition of our channel and thank you so much for thinking of us and we are very happy for you to post this! I'm so glad you enjoy our videos enough to share with your audience - once again Thank you so much!! Sarah :)
Hope you don`t mind but I`ve mentioned your channel in another of my blog posts - snoppersays.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/like-it-says-on-tin-nostalgia-may-be.html
Hey guys thank you for finding us. I am goi g to love this. We live in the Mohave desert on a gold claim. We mine for gold for the fun of it. We live off grid and are selling our home cause we will be gone all summer and don’t need a pool. Love this beach your on. Way cool. So ya we get our energy from the sun. Love your dog and rang your 🛎 oh you have two dogs
This is such an incredible video of yours, I absolutely loved this walk, so lovely! I really appreciate how you set your videos up and put everything together, very professional and so well made, such high quality! The energy you have on camera is also so positive, friendly and uplifting, I'm so excited to see what else you make, keep it up, I subscribed!
Lol - yes, lots of sugar! A little secret: we actually arrived after lunch time - and that was our lunch! We could have had a much healthier meal in the pub! Sarah :)
Beautiful church and breathtaking scenery as always ! You truly are a lovely couple and a delight to watch, your work is greatly appreciated!! Precious doggies as well, what breed are they? Sincerely ,Lori from Ohio
Hi Lori, Your comment is truly lovely, made me blush! Our doggies are English Cocker Spaniels; ours are a show breed rather than a working breed. The working breed is used to flush out game birds during the shooting season. Cockers are also known for their good temperament and being easy to train. Ours both need a trim but I am waiting for the weather to warm up! Sarah :)
Great hot chocolate! I think the weather forecast said the wind chill took the temp down to 2 degrees centigrade, with the wind blowing cold air straight from Iceland - it certainly felt like it! Sarah :)
Cornish Walking Trails I had to Google that temp cause we use f. And I don't kow the conversion man that's cold were in the dead of our winter in s.d. and it's 50f at worse which in think is 15 c
Yes there are some beaches that ban dogs from Easter until 30th Sept, mostly the more popular ones that have easy parking, cafes and toilets. We heard that the Council has now employed wardens to fine dog owners that flout this, more info on Cornwall Council's website. Dogs are allowed on the coastal path all year and we have not encountered any bans inland, say in woodlands etc. just the usual countryside code - dogs under tight control near livestock etc. Keep us posted on your plans! Sarah :)
Cornish Walking Trails Thanks that’s very helpful information & no doubt we will do some more research prior to our trip. We are spending a week on a site on the north side of Cornwall & want to see as much of the place as possible during that time. Our U.K. holidays are all about our dog, spending time with him and enjoying coastal walks so being informed of restrictions ahead of time will help us out massively 😎👍❤️
Thanks for contact..love Cornwall will be following you with interest. I sub/support you, thumbs up!! thanks , For visiting my channel...Anyone looking for support I will return

Looks a great walk my friends. TFS😊
Really superb - beautiful scenery! It was great! Sarah :)
Fantastic walk - I want to go to Godfrey - only been to Mevagissey (sorry about the spelling) so this is great to see another side of the county. 👍
Mevagissey is quite different to Godrevy - have you watched our Mevagissey walk? It is such a beautiful little harbour - I love it! :) Sarah
