Thanks for sharing your opinion, here’s our perspective.
      1. Mainstream media have been showing the “horrible” side of Haiti for decades. There is no awareness or revelation here, simply poverty porn that a lot of our society gravitate towards. We chose to empower & show other narratives mainstream media refuse to show.
      2. We make it absolutely clear at the very beginning of the video that this “not a travel guide” and that “the danger in Haiti is real”

@@PassportHeavy Being one of the many guilty white Americans that has honestly over time became to comfortable with an odd and un-healthy obsession with others violence and as you so amazingly called it "poverty porn" of different nations, countries and cultures. I just wanted to say thank you for presenting this place and these people in this light. I found your channel and this video truthfully watching updates about the current humanitarian crisis in Haiti with your video being simply a following recommendation. And without it I would not of learned of Haiti's incredible past and been gifted with the personal desire to now learn so much more about such amazing people that needs the worlds help at this time. The table top talk section of your video perfectly touches on this. The entire story deserves to be told so nothing is forgotten. I wont drag this on and on. I just wanted to comment on this when I noticed your response after I had such a positive experience from your video, to highlight that being able to tell a story differently and from another perspective is such a wonderful tool for spreading awareness that might now of genuinely worked or gathered the right kind of attention from other people of the world. So thanks for opening my eyes.

Yes, we have a lot of work to do and we invite those of you who believe in us to work WITH us. THANK YOU Passport Heavy for what you are doing to help our country!

What he is saying at the beginning
of this video is right. The same kind of
      heartbreaking videos of starving people
and children eating from the garbage dump they show of Africa.
They always want people to send money
and you don't know if is real or not because if the area is really that
poor then you could probably feed a village for less than 40 dollars.
Then you see videos like this that show the beauty of their world and question
      the people asking for money.

Thank you for showing this side of Haiti. Sadly the media portrays Haiti in such a negative light and I tell people that saying Haiti is a filthy and disgusting war torn country is analogous to going to skid-row in Los Angelous and saying all of California is a dump. After all, Haiti is called the pearl of the Caribbean for a reason. The negative stories being made about haiti is concentrated in Soleil which is in the heart of the city. The country side and majority of the Island is a natural God given paradise.

In recent months I’ve come across some very despairing RUclips videos on Haiti and the language use to describe this island 😡 me. Thank you for showing us despite, all Haiti has been through and still going through there is still hope for this beautiful, vibrant, rich, powerful and abundant Island, people and culture. Thank you showing us, Haiti in a positive light and for using high vibrational language when speaking of its people and culture. This is, what this mighty nation needs right now. To see content that gives hope. No matter how hard they try Haiti will never bend or fall👊🏽🙏🏽 Keep Rising. Blessings

This movie was special. This one really hit the soul fr.Being fully Haitian and first one in my family born in the states Ive been dying to go back. Like Youri mentioned just growing up hearing all the negativity, the media, etc. What Johnny saying is fr, moms and most Haitian parents just not having it their kids going back due to the trauma they've faced. But people like you Jubril, Youri, the whole passportheavy team, and everyone shedding a positive light and showing the beauty of Haiti is special. Respect, this one is for the books.

This video or movie, I should say, was AMAZING! I visited Haiti in 2018 for a trip that was hosted by one of my girlfriends who is from Haiti. The media will never show you the beauty of this country, the resilience of the people, the amazing food or culture. I’m so glad you all were able to put something so beautiful into the twisted world of media 🇭🇹. Thank you 🙏🏾

Thank you soooo much for using your platform responsibly but still highlighting what is the true spirit and most frequent experience of a nation!! Haiti deserves so much more than what the world gives it. The least we can do is shed light on the truth of this land and it’s people ❤ also, thank you for the tidbit about Spirit lol THAT scares me more than anything about our people 😂
