1:29:29 Afrika saying there are over 200 names to refer to 1 God is factually not true. The various names refer to a pluralistic underpinnings of the Judaic OT which forms the basis of Christian faith. There is a difference to El Shaddai and Jehovah, and to simply say it can be inter-changeable is not correct.
The text reveals there were many Gods (Gen 1:26 onwards) but Theology over the ages was made to refer to "attributes" of a singular One. Having said that Pastor Mhlope simply showed that he does not want to understand the origins of a complex African spiritual system - opting to make a corralation between Paganism and "ubizo" which is so painful to see.

There is nothing pluralistic about the Jewish faith. Moses proclaimed, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One” (Deuteronomy 6:4). So important are the words of this verse that they form part of the Shema Prayer. This is one of the most important prayers in the Jewish liturgy and it encapsulates the monotheistic essence of the Hebrew faith. Moreover, when you see the word LORD in capitals, this is often an instance when God's sacred name was used. The name written as YHVH from which we get Jehovah when it is transliterated or used with vowels. Yes, there is difference between Elshaddai and Jehovah because represents a different aspect of God's nature. Nowhere did I say these names are interchangeable.
Unfortunately, I cannot engage you on your claim that Genesis 1:26 refers to many gods because you have not substantiated the claim. You can't point to the plural expression 'let us' because trinitarians also use it to argue their point. Your role is to provide textual evidence to show that they are wrong.
There is definitely a correlation between African spirituality and paganism because almost the practices done in the former (divination, necromancy, witchcraft, sacrificial system) are also done in the latter. But the latter is older than the former. Divination is not an African invention. If you claim it is, prove it. Prove that no pagan nation has done any of the practices done in African spirituality or that they copied them from Africans.

Gen 1:26 my point is YHWH did not need to declare to "Himself" as us making man, the text is in plural form. ELOHIM is also plural masculine form...
Yes, this is not the platform for this. Thank you.

This is referring to the triune God, also known as the trinity

There is a lot that he says that makes sense but some he is not accurate. He needs deliverance. every believer does.
