Hey Shaun, I haven’t even watched the video yet I just wanted to say thank you! Every single Sim rig video I’ve watched for months always is titled ULTIMATE Sim rig or something with the name ULTIMATE in it… THANK YOU FOR Thinking OUTSIDE THE BOX And NOT Using a CLICKBAITY title… I love your honest content. Everyone from a $50 Sim rig to $1 million rig. If they are all ultimate, then none of them are…. I know it may sound like a weird thing to be annoyed about, but it just drives me batty 🦇. I recently dropped in to one of your live streams… I just wanted to thank you again for your content.
I find it amusing you rebuilt your monitor stand a few times. I've also rebuilt my monitor stand and rig multiple times over the years. Thank you for the update. Peace✌️
I originally had a thick Aluminium profile rig, but wanted to greatly reduce weight/inertia for motion. Ended up with a rig made out of box steel, which was seam welded. Surprisingly light, rigid and strong. Also, when painted looked great.
Okay, now that I’ve watched the video, I’m even more impressed some great tips in there and ideas. Sadly, due to space constraints, I cannot do a profile style rig., I would love to have that sort of rigidity, but I opted for a used next level racing GT light that I got at the pawn shop for 100 bucks rather than the $400. It cost retail down here in Australia. I need to be able to fold it away and slide it underneath my desk when it’s not in use …But everything else is new… The thrust master, T300 Ferrari edition and thrust master manual shifter, Which I made my own DIY steel mount for as well as a set of steel mounts for a THRUSTMASTER HOTAS system that I can hot swap onto my rig … I do have triple 32 inch monitors … I might get the TLCM pedals to upgrade to down the track once my skills get better…. Or should I say if my skills get better? I’ve also got some Dayton audio Puck style transducers on the way and I’ve 3-D printed some solid mounts for those to connect to the GT light rig… looking forward to setting that up … I love watching your ideas for being creative and even if I can’t do the same mods as you, you encourage people to come up with their own ideas and I’ve got quite a few… once I’m a little more dialled in. I will try and share some pictures or video in your discord…. Thanks again buddy
Put a transparent strip between your monitors. I don't know the actual name of it. But it makes it look like you have a widescreen monitor than three normal ones. Boosted Media has used those 'strips' and made it the gap between monitors disappear.
The Asus ROG Bezel-Free kit. Neat piece of gear, just really expensive for what it is. And looking it up just now, it seems like it's gone up in price recently.
Yeah this is really cool i got all really Nice higher end gear one day ill get 2 more Samsung qn90's 50in and build a actual car dash and working speedo and tach into my rig oh how cool would that be for now though my Moza R12 and CRP pedals rtx 3080 and single monitor plus HP Reverb G2 will do ive spent thousands on Audio to using Sennheiser hd650's Audeze LCD2's and a Ifi DAC and Amp its Amazing and alright cost more than my car did it's actually kinda sad but i didn't regret building my rig

Looks decent, do you think about those kind of black roof on top of the screens. Could help with the immersion part of your setup
that rig is not ugly at all...its fkn badass.
Hey Shaun. Great Build!!! Ever Thought About Using Asus Bezel Free Kit Instead Of The Tape?
What is that motion platform? I already started buying parts for DIY motion platform. Waiting for the potentiometer.
Richard Simmons does sim racing.
Why not just use a wall mount tv bracket to mount the monitor?

DIY, with a broken TV. Plus it will fit larger monitors. You can find how to on youtube.
