    I cried my eyes out about Imrans grandma. I haven’t seen my family for 4 years . I was booked to go last year, they covid struck. My grandma turns 90 next month but I’m stuck in the country I live in now and can’t go to see her. I miss my dad and everyone terribly 🥲😢😭

    It's so sad to see young children get married....worst that it's a family member. Its their culture. So. I can't argue with that

    • @becky1992
      @becky1992 2 года назад +2

      It is illegal for under 18s to get married in the uk (it was different in 2005, 2008/9 when this was filmed) and polygamy and incest is also illegal. More and more young women (and some men) who are forced to marry family members are abused too. There's special homes in the UK for women who have been abused by forced marriage, thats if they escape...so sad for any woman or man to go through that.

    The Western culture is so diametrically different to the Asian culture. The reason Asians have children so they will be cared for when they are old. They marry for financial stability. Westerners marry for love. The goals and responsibilities are very different. Asian children have great responsibility from early on, while Westerners tend to be a bit babied and spoiled. I still prefer the Western way. I don’t think children should be burdened.
