Penelope is BOLD! She makes romance enticing instead of cute. The setting is like any other romance, but the plot twists and complexity of the characters made me hate her and then when I finish the book I am simply in awe of her writing..and what just happened. .She's simply the Queen.

So I decided to check them out, expecting kinda meh....now it's my favorite romance series of all time. Period.

*spoiler warning* if you haven’t read the book, don’t read my comment. Ok, hear me out. I wanted her to end up with Jake SO BAD when I read it the first time. I just finished my re-read of this book and I came around to Kaleb much more his time around and I’m not sure why. I think I just picked up on a lot more of their connection rather than just being so shocked by his behavior reading it the first time.

I love Penelope Douglas writing! My favourites are birthday girl and Credence. I did not like Bully at all. I think since I started with her newest stories I saw how her writing evolved. I did not continue with the bully series, maybe I should give it a go, I will see. I am in book 2 of the Devil's night and is sooo good!

best thing abt tryst six venom was clayolivia not Olivia’s brothers! It’s pride please can we respect love between two women and not make it about the male side characters? Clay and Olivia have unbelievable chemistry and are madly in love with each other, I don’t see you mentioning the side characters on the other books so why on the only lesbian one? Not cool
i understand what you're saying but i don't think she was trying to discredit the f/f romance by just stating that she loved the male characters and hoped for a spinoff of them....who's to say if that happens that it wouldn't be a m/m romance? enjoying male characters doesn't make her (or anyone) anti-wlw....

I said PD wrote an amazing story where two women have incredible chemistry, and it’s unfair to deviate the attention from that - and barely mention it - and praise the side characters if you are not doing the same for the m/f stories. Also they part abt ‘what if it’a m/m?’ You are clearly not familiar with the issue of representation of queer women in media. Just bc it’s LGBT doesn’t mean we are all the same. I would certainly celebrate an m/m romance and be happy for fellow gay men but it wouldn’t address the concern of lesbian visibility.

Octavia and Mads are cousins (their parents, banks and damon, are siblings), I really hope there isnt a romance between them, especially considering the 5 year age gap. I feel it too closely parallels real cases of incestual abuse.
