There is a lot of popular games, and this is not popular because space games always flop in going popular.. i lived it with battlefield and all space games.

I still have some chill fun with Anthem. Mindless killing a dozen enemies and flying around. I just play for some casual fun for an hourish.

"Who would shoot someone mid-emote?" That reminded me of long ago when I was playing the original Tribes. It was on a modded server that had more powerful weapons. I was scouting way back on a mountain overlooking the enemy base as a sniper and I spotted a guy doing a dance emote in an elevated structure with a bunch of others surrounding him and watching. He was in the big heavy armor and looked ridiculous. I dropped him with a headshot and the others stepped back like they were in shock, looked around and flew out in all directions. It was like poking a hornets nest. I skied the hell outta there. Good times.
Tribes is a game that I feel needs a resurgence.
can't believe this game died and had its servers shut down, such a tragedy. Loved this game.
I already love how breaking the rocks gradually reveals the valuable minerals.

I'll forever miss the original Cycle, but this version does so much that's just really cool and genius. Man, am I happy they kept the original soundtrack. I love that tune to death.

@@zvonimirpapac5738 if you were in the alpha testing for the first game I think you can just download it. That is what happened with me, on Epic, last Beta. You can get a key for this beta by watching 2 hours of a random person streaming The Cycle on Twitch though.

Love the gun sounds, they feel powerful. Looks like a really fun time with friends, I wonder if it's fun solo too?

Yeah solo sucks, I always try to avoid players when I'm alone
Solo has been okay for me just have to stay very aware and know where high traffic areas are I usually stick to the edge of map when to get to the different places I need to go
Solo is a great challange, just think its too strong that you can see your teammates through walls

I really miss that game. It was actually my fav game, and the game i have the most hours on steam until this day.
I wish we could bring criminal charges against everyone who cheated in this game and made the devs shut it down.
I haven't played the Cycle in a while but the one thing I realised I've missed was the music. Literally clicking on the video and hearing that theme again was so good!

My first interaction with people in this game was me saying “I was interested in finding a a good Tarkov clone” and I lost my faith in humanity when the guy told me “What are you talking about this game is nothing like Tarkov.”
It's basically a easier less crammed version of tarkov and I love it.
I played this one year ago and it just felt like another battle royale with some tarkov elements in it but now i see everyone is praising it imma give it a shot

I was a battleroyale, they reworked the entire core gameplay to make it more of a tarkov style experience and honestly it's way better this way
I just wish people would make more original games than shooters. There are like 50 other games just like this and jackfrags has reviewed most of them.
@@lorsmephisto5222 Originality isn't equal to fun, so it doesn't matter. What usually gets made is what's actually fun, not what is original.
There are probably thousands of small indie games that do unique things, but almost no one will ever touch them, even if they know of them.
For example in one game the goal is to just wait however long it was, a year maybe. You can explore the place and such, but much of the time will be spent elsewhere in your life until something changes after a year in the game.
What part of that is fun? It's original, maybe. In order to know it's original, I'd have to know every single video game.
I remember first jumping onto this game in summer 2019, I really enjoyed it. I didn't pick it up again for nine months or so. Crazy to see how far along it has come, I might just have to start playing again.

From the intro alone, it definitly looks different. Looks smoother, more complete, I might hop back in because of this.

oh wow, i got this game when it first released but didnt really know what to do and stopped playing, but it seems more finished now!
I was actually a bit excited about playing The Cycle when it was first shown as a mainly PvE game with PvP elements. But, now it's all focus on PvP really, as far as I can see, though I haven't played much.
I kinda wish it didn't change...

im pretty obsessed with this style of game. Tarkov has been my fav for years. I also love hunt: Showdown, the Cycle:frontier, and Marauders. Can't wait to play again.

Games like this make it hard to think halo infinite took 4 years to develop with half a billion.
FYI, you should read what happened with 343 and Halo Infinite, they changed what game they were developing like 5 times in the course of just aa few years with even more lead designers and project managers resigning and signing on. It's a miracle that Halo Infinite is as good as it is, has no business being that good with the shitshow development hell it went through.

i played the cycle in 2020 and it was wonderfull.
i remember the epic song when the storm came and the adrenaline of being constantly unted.
but now is more an exploring game.
i downloaded it once again after leaving it and the change i know is for good but i really prefer the og version.
i can belive it but it gives me nostalgia when the corona started and i didnt have to worry about anything and just, play...
yep the second beta was the best setup easily. i dont know why they decided to ruin it

I was an OG, played this when it was early access in 2019 when no one played. I forgot about the game and haven't played it until recently when it gained popularity, really cool to see a game come so far.
The game looks amazing, I remember when I played it in its alpha/beta phase, it's changed so much!

Gunplay in the game still needs a lot of work imo, that was my biggest turn-off. The hit reg seems very finicky and the recoil seems to be purely random "popcorn" style, making a lot of gunfights feel like more luck than skill.
Yea it looks really clunky in a back for blood kinda way.
Id say I agree but having no experience with the game I hopped in today and absolutely annihilated everyone I saw.
Had the same feel about the recoil until i realised the recoil on the guns have their own consistent pattern. Just like in cs :)

My only annoyance is constantly being teamed by groups of 2/3 as a solo
and that's how Tom was never heard from again kids.
had some major bugs like dying for no reason and trying to organise a party. We also get a bug fairly regularly were a member of the party doesnt have the blue sillhouette so can get confusing/be a cause for friendly fire if you're not careful. but really enjoying the game.
Used to be a lot more light, I wonder how raising the stakes improves things.

I was so confused watching shroud play this game. I remember gliding around the map sniping people when I played. It looks like a completely different game now mechanically.
