Having a W2 is like guaranteeing yourself at least 3 viral videos a month in terms of monthly earnings. Most up and coming RUclipsrs cannot count on 3 consistent viral videos each month.

That’s exactly right. Having the consistent income makes things so much easier than hoping 1-3 videos takes off every month. Some channels that have very unique products can do that… those people hit 100k views every day and call 100k views a BAD DAY. Most of us probably will only be on RUclips as a side hustle. That’s not to say there isn’t hope but I think if you can keep your W2 AND make great content then why not? Never fumble the bag 💰💰💰

Do you have any specialized skills? I feel like there's tons of things that you can do that will allow you to work from home and spend time with your family.

Well I work in health care on the insurance side and my new job that I started last week is actually work from home 😁 so now I’m home with the family and making money at the same time. It’s a great thing

I didn’t quit mine. I was laid off 😅 had no choice. But I see people voluntarily quitting so they can not work as much as it doesn’t work out sometimes

@@Creator-Source It's rough out here in these streets! I've already been told it's my last month and I'm about to dive into becoming a YTer, FT. Nervous, but excited. Thank you for your videos!

@evynp you can do what I did for 7 months… door dash/uber eats/grubhub till you have chronic back pain 😅

Right now it’s pretty trendy to talk about getting laid off and talking about what your plans are because unfortunately it’s happening to a LOT of people… so there’s an idea for some videos 😁 just some vlogs about yourself

@@Creator-Source El oh el! The chronic back pain is hilarious. My Husband is doing that, currently. He was a part of the mass tech lay offs in 2022. Let go the Monday after Thanksgiving. So great, I know. It feels like no end to the madness.
I will definitely be tying those topics into my channel. My niche is in Insurance, currently. I don't want to bash myself, but I feel like I'm going to end up being too honest 😅 But I'm hoping to drive business through YT and being paid as an independent contractor through the companies I've appointed with. I think it'll be an interesting take. I don't see many/any people in my field touching down on the Internet in this way. So, I hope for success in bridging the gap.
