i was 6 or 7 years old and stunned by this music on the documentary on tv during the 1983 region. Totally changed my life listening to music. During my Teens, finally managed to get hold the composer and started to collection of Kitaro san works. Thank you Sir for bring such beautiful and priceless works of yours to this world. If everyone on earth listen this piece of tune, the world would be more peaceful and less war and fights will happens.
Me too this music by documentary 😁
Same generation I guess 👍
me too. my mum found the album for me to listen to, it used to make me cry. I just put it on for my baby, and it evoked all.those feelings and I couldn't stop the tears
Ahhhhh...what a wonderful music
me too.it is a flash back to my childhood memories.thanks silk road documentary.
I was introduced to Kitaro by a crewman I sailed with on container ships - 1987-1989...I cant remember his name , but I'm eternally grateful...this tune brought me down on an airplane in a storm some years ago , maybe 2014, after 3 tries at landing at Glasgow airport. With this loud in my earphones, I wasn't afraid of dying....so peaceful...graceful, and the way to go.
Saw him in concert in Seattle. It was like being in water. Every one of your nerves being stimulated all at the same time. It was pure magic. I wish everyone could experience it once
I remember the first time I heard it, it was around 1982. Today, 39 years later, I feel the same emotion as the first time. @Kitaro is one of the greatest new age artists of all time.
Me too, stops me in my tracks and transports me.
Only those who had clean soul can produce such wonderful music..and Kitaro one of it
This was the first album I ever heard. It is a reminder that everything is going to be okay
The ultimate instrumental.. far beyond time.. its a mysterius universe sound.. calm but gripping your soul..
Silk road documentary never be forgotten
Comments are of many languages, music is universally felt. A very sanguine sign,I suppose. Don't you think so?
One of the most beautiful songs EVER made!!
Kitaro - einfach unvergleichlich.
Silk Road documentary music is a work that is engraved in my memory, now I'm 47 years old, I still love you so much, I listen to it when I'm angry
and I'm flying above the clouds
thank you kitaro
This beautiful theme holds so many beautiful memories for me. I walked down the aisle with my dad to this song. He passed away back in 2017. I remember him on this day being so proud. It will always remind me of him.
.
The universal language of love trancends the cosmos..
This music stirs the soul because the memory of what we all once were is stirred.. we are a connected.. made from the same star stuff that everything is birthed from..
had a friend who knew kitaro who told me that kitaro gets his inspiration by spending long solitary time in the sahara desert.
I've listened to this beautiful piece of music for 30 yrs, and I never get tired of it ❤
Only very special kind of people appreciate this State of the Art of the great musician KITARO. God bless him !
I really love "The Silk Road" documentary TV programme and the theme song since 2 decades ago, it's really nice...
When your soul is tired, listen to kitaro music 😊
My brother introduced me to Kitaro's music when I was a teenager. He also took me to see him in concert in Philadelphia. It was so magical!!! It was so beautiful. I will always cherish his music. ☺️
I could feel myself transformed back in time on the silk trade route with this music and the stars guiding me, east to west. From the Gobi Desert, to the plains, and the mountains, and more desert, so long as this music plays on, everything just sail pass. Beautiful music only Kitaro could master.
Rememberance of childhood when used to watch Japan NHK Silk Road documentary in Friday after lunch in B/W tv...
As I read in a coment before: the world would be more peaceful if everyone would have listened to this beautiful work… I simply melt myself with this melody…
Oh me too! I feel so blessed to have found this amazing music! Kitaro is awesome!
Asian music is a dream, flow with emotion and sync with the rhythm of the nature. The music is you and you are the music of life.
I heard this for the first time while living in Okinawa at 12 years old and it's still giving me goosebumps after nearly 30 years.
What a masterpiece. Been listening to this music since I watched NHK Silkroad documentary during my childhood. Love from Nepal.
The ultimate instrumental.. far beyond time.. its a mysterius universe sound.. calm but gripping your soul.. 🌿🌱💐🍂🍃
sometimes I cry when I listen to this
I watched this documentary when I was a small boy in Hong Kong. It was a major TV event and it was the first TV documentary that I ever did see and I thought it was awesome.
💗Almost 40 years since I saw this wonderful tv serie Silk road and heard this great music, and I still love it. It feels like I'm floating on a big pink cloud when I listen to it.
Yeah almost 40 years. Mee too. You're right. It's amazing.
I knew kitaro music when i was 20 years old.. 25 years ago...
Music from heaven
Always was interested in Kitaro's music since childhood.
her zaman çocukluğumu hatırlatıyor.... 80 ler ve 90 lar çocuklarına selam olsun....
Have this for about 40 years and still cherish it.
People who seek to create beauty through music are very special. One of my favorites, and today is that day, once a decade, when I play this song and just feel.
I'm totally BLISSED OUT 🔥🔥🔥🌠🌠🌠 Such beautiful memories of my younger days ❤❤Thank YOU 🎉🎉🎉
Tks Kaoru
Pujiannya sangat dihargai. Saya merasa senang. Terima kasih banyak.
A good friend, Ira, introduced me to this music in 1988. I always think of him when I listen to it.
Introduced to Kitaro by a crewman on a ship I was on around 1987 I have been forever truly grateful. Thank you.
Wow. In itself quite a story. Now I'm imagining hearing this for the first time somewhere in the middle of the ocean. At night. Under the stars.
Kendi sokaklarımda yürüyorum sanki bazen düştüm bazen kalktım ağladım yandım yıkıldm ama umut etmekten hiç vazgeçmedim ve aydınlığa kavuştum bu müzik bana bunu hissettirdi🕯💕💕
Thank you...this music brings me to another world, especially when hearing it at night and looking up the stars-night....and it certainly brings back some old memories-this piece of music was the theme of silk road-a tv series show back in late 1970s and early 80s by both chinese & japanese tv stations...and thank you for yr screen play....such a beautiful piece....altogether, it is an art piece....Bravo !
thx for making my earlier comment as "highlighted-comment"...did'nt ecpect that...i listened again and again and truly enjoyed yr screen-play, and of course, some old clips from that tv series resurface in my memory....such as the discovery of a mummy in the desert, even to the crew who filmed, were a big news; the wall paintings inside many buddhist's hidden cliff-hole , and the last one show, they arrived Rome....Thank you again Kaoru !
Give a like to this music if you listen it in 2021! I used it on my mothers funeral in 2015!
Kitaro can imagine anything out of this world and put it in his music...awesome
Beautiful video. I was just a teenager when I first heard this music. It's been a long time.
Through time, and space I travel. Happily, joyfully, I fly. Thank you, Kitaro, for a most beautiful trip. For being my craft.

maravilloso
Much of the Silk Road series illustrate cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world. Japan was indirectly influenced through China. It’s also a joint program with the Chinese CCTV and the first time a foreign television crew was granted entry into the Silk Road region within Chinese territory. Your info is good but left out China.
While I listen to this, it feels like for a fraction of second I have transcended up to the seventh sky! Exquisitely beautiful!! Sometime soothes your soul, another time makes it cry, reminiscent of many good old memories. Thanks Emerald and thanks to Kitaro, the musical maestro.
I have 14 cd's of his great music .but now its right on my finger tips on the net ....but its not the same ..i truly love kitaro .i was only 16 .now im 44 i still love the dreams and awsomnest hes given me all these years .thank you kitaro...SA TX USA .......
I remember, when I first discovered Kitaro in the late 80s, I listened to this (on vinyl) for 3 weeks straight, looping the hell out of it.
Kenangan indah bersama abah dan arwah emak.Sungguh mendalam.
Makes me think of the unproblematic easy times. I miss that 😢
It is even difficult to comment on a masterpiece like this because it is very beautiful.

It was touching to see the starry sky again. And only flute kind instruments create the spacious feeling like sky.

Thanks. This video breaks me into tears. I was born at Jinquan where is one of the spot of Silk Road. I have listened to Kitaro's music for over 20 years but this is the first time I actually realized that there are links between the music to my hometown.
Thank you for watching.
Hello
How serene yet mysterious. Almost somber.
I have always enjoyed this song but with the pictures of space it’s absolutely precious!

Truer beauty have I not seen than this sight before my very eyes.
