I was introduced to Kitaro by a crewman I sailed with on container ships - 1987-1989...I cant remember his name , but I'm eternally grateful...this tune brought me down on an airplane in a storm some years ago , maybe 2014, after 3 tries at landing at Glasgow airport. With this loud in my earphones, I wasn't afraid of dying....so peaceful...graceful, and the way to go.
A 13 years old boy contacted this music and this music changed his entire life. And now he is in his 40 but still listening Kitaro's music and feeling blessed by Kitaro's music.
I watched the Silk Road tv series in the 80s. Never miss an episode and recorded every episode and replayed often. Kitaro's Silk Road tune still haunts me today with peace and bring me back to the places and days as shown in the TV series, so real like I was doing the Silk Road journey. I love this song. I first heard this a few decades ago as a theme song from silk road and I was hooked :)

I was walking at the side of the caravan that travels along the silk road....for many moons and I hear nothing but this sound of music among the gentle wind that grace tru the dessert
Exactly the same feeling when I heard this 30 years ago. And still the same.
I really like this live. Other live usually had higher tone solo violin play, but this live had lower tone viola like solo play which made sound fuller and more romantic.👍👍👍👍👍

The famous number Matsuri was being played in the bus and I asked the bus manager and he told me its Kitaro a Japanese composer and I bought his CDs from Mustuffas
