  • I love this rifle, I had a great time testing it.
Its the 357 Challenger but the light version as I call it.
the magazine will only take up to a 100 grain hp and upto 140 single shot.
The greatest thing is it seems to be regulated so the shot string is very even across the 10 shots spread.

The side gauge is for viewing the regulated plenum pressure, it's also the gauge you unscrew to bleed the air out of the tank. You don't want to do that with the bottom gauge or it can bugger the regulator. The under pic rail also works really well for either a simple foregrip handle or UTG bipod grip handle. There's a few folks that are selling some 3d printed cheek risers for that stock now as well, I ended up making a simple on from some PVC pipe that I slit, heated up, and shaped on a wood form.

That's one sweet looking rig! Great numbers too! I've got a .30 cal coming and just waiting on the .357 to get back in stock. Can't wait to shoot some pure awesomeness through them!

Just bought your 99gr hollow points and they do sub MOA at 100 yds. Very impressed.

    Howdy Bob..
    Perfect timing for this vid.
    Thank you..
I've been looking at this rifle pretty hard..
I was looking at either the new FX M3 .357 or this..
Seems a Lil goofy dropping that much cash on an impact tho..
I've been waiting for a regulated 357 to come out.
I'm thinking this rifle coupled with your 99g slugs could possibly be a wicked combo for bodyshot yotes at distance.. Your slugs I used on Oklahoma hogs last year were phenomenal!!
I really dig the idea of a regulated big bore for consistency.. It's something I've wished for in my Texan rifles..
I look forward to hearing your findings on accuracy and dependability with this rifle..
Thanks for your time and research..

It doesn't matter on my gun what I put in it it always gives me about 150 ft lb plus or minus 3 whether I'm shooting 81.99 or 125 grain it won't make any difference and I think I got a bummer must not have the correct spring or something :-(

most people are using shims on the hammer to get 190 foot pounds.

Brian, with my Challenger Pro .357 (bought in May 2023) the same results you just mentioned.
The highest velocity for my Challenger Pro .357 is @ 190 bar/2755PSI, resulting with 96 grain slug in 165 FPE/224 Joule.
Higher pressure (e.g. the 4200-4300PSI as per the table of Mr Hollow point) do not incease the spead.
I am wondering how this copy of Mr Hollowpoints Challenger Pro has been tweaked by the supplier.

    • @jarroldharrell
      @jarroldharrell 11 месяцев назад

@@msleurink the hammer spring doesn't have enough force to push beyond 190 bar. You will need two 14 gauge shims on the hammer. I added shims to mine, and then raised reg to 210 bar. I'm now at 200fpe with mr. Hollowpoint slugs.

The machine work and quality are superb. There isn't any plastic either. I went to the store in town and picked up the BDog. It felt like a toy from china. There's nothing to stop the trend of technology being produced abroad. Even Apple computer is mostly made with components from overseas...
