Yeess!! When she speaks to him, you can tell he is really listening to her. He cares about what she thinks and what she has to say. His eyes become so focused on her like he is genuinely taking in every word, and he has been that way with her since the beginning pretty much if you go back and pay attention to their interactions. He can read her expressions and intimate her feelings. It’s really sweet, I can’t wait to watch their love blossom.

Penelope is so beautiful, like all those people laughing ridiculous, she is gorgeous... And I know she hurt Eloise, but I think it just further proves her point that nobody notices her, I mean Eloise is one of the smartest people in the series and even with all the obvious signs she didn't notice, and that somehow makes Penelope and Lady Whistledown so powerful, "THERE IS NOTHING MORE POWERFUL THAN A WOMAN WHO SITS IN SILENCE KNOWING SHE CAN CRUSH YOU WITH THE TRUTH." (Dont know who that is from but it totally represents Pen}
I googled it, it is from R.G. Moon. But it si a very powerful quote. I told my friend today that I noticed, how different Penelope and LW are. When Penelope is Penelope, she is very shy, down to earth. But when she is LW she is so powerful and confident. For example when she talked with Madame Delacroix, she was so confident and so outspoken. I love that side of her. I hope that in season 3 she will shine through 💛

But is Eloise really actually smart in the series or is she just a narcissistic busybody with nothing else to do? Initially I liked Eloise but by the end of season 1, I realized that she isn't even a decent friend to Pen. She never truly shows friendship to Pen, only takes from Pen what she needs in their "friendship". By season 2 I was completely done with Eloise. At this point for me, I don't know how they could possibly turn her character development around and make her more sympathetic and less self obsessed. If they can't, then I will be skipping her season.
@@emismommy01 I actually like Eloise, I get her point of this matter and also Penelope’s as well. She loved Theo and she lost him and then she found out that her best friend lied to her and betrayed heike that, but they will make up, I am sure of that. They are only 19, they’ve been together for so long ❤️

After that dreadful witch, Cressida purposefully spilled her drink on Penelope's dress/chest, and Collin rejected her dance offer to dance with Penelope. I thought maybe there is hope for them, but then he had to ruin it. As a best friend, he should've been hyping her up around other male suitors, not bashing her. And if he doesn't beg for her forgiveness and mend his mistake ten times over, there will be hell to pay.
Yes, I though so as well. But I think that there is more to that. I think he loves her but he’s just not realizing it yet. And he had to be a macho in front of his friends, that’s why he did it. But I think in season 3 he will realize everything ❤️
He doesn't want other men to see her good qualities because he just wants her all for himself. He just doesn't realize yet that he's feeling that way because he is afraid to lose her.
I feel we watched half the conversation and have misinterpreted the meaning of what he said. But that might be wishful thinking from my perspective.

Like... he wanted to keep her available but didn't understand that what he achieved with those comments & didn't realize how that would make Pen feel..... basically, I'm just hoping he's stupid & not malicious. Daphne and Simon were friends too. He said it while he was talking to the queen. He said but In so removing romance, we found something far greater. We found friendship. You could’ve literally seen them bounding on a friendship level during their conversations.

I like the yellow dress from 2x01 the ending and also at the 2x06. Love her hair as well. It doesn't mean that yellow colour is not for her, but you need to work it out so that it would suit her properly 💛

Yellow is the featherington colour, whereas blue is the bridgertons colour. That's why she switched from yellow, over green to eventually blue. The only thing I can't wrap my head around, since everything in their character design has meaning, down to the metal of their jewlery and how often they wear them and what style of hair they wear, are her pink dresses. They don't seem to fit the narrative. On the other hand: Maybe it is to make her stand out as an overlooked outsider, as Mrs Whistledown. But that is my speculation only

In the end when Penelope said that no one truly notices her it reminded of the scene when colin was complimenting the necklace she wore at Edwina and Anthony's wedding

Ofc here it means no one notices HER but these subtle moments of Colin noticing her in crowds, listening to her so keenly and complimenting her on things which would usually go unnoticed by people if quite endearing

Daphne is so necessary for me in the series… she learned by herself she grew by herself emotionally and she understands her brothers like no one else… I would love to see her listening to Colin’s awakening to his new feelings for Pen and giving him advice.
It was so important to me that I would put her words in to this edit, because she did give him advice in the books as well. But I hope that in this dynamic they will continue: first season Violet gave advice to Daphne, second season Daphne gave advice to Anthony and third season Anthony will give advice to Colin. It would be such a sweet gesture ♥

Trochu mě to i odvracuje od toho počítat dny, kdy už budeme mít třetí sérku 🤣Předtím jsem si odškrtávala každý den a najednou se z 87 dnů stalo 55 😍Mně to pomohlo a tobě určitě taky. Začni teď. Honestly I am hoping they channel Colin’s whole “I don’t care because of the gossip, I care because this is some dangerous stuff” attitude that he had in the book. Eloise had enough righteous indignation for everyone, I want someone to acknowledge that Penelope has stood toe to toe with the queen and it’s a reckless thing to do.
@@kaylahensley1581I agree. I love his reaction in the book. Eloise has got the anger (and presumably forgiveness) angle. Colin should be the impressed, supportive one. Plus it's important to Colin's story/purpose.
