TOO MUCH pressure on youngsters? 🤔 ESPN FC on Endrick's expectations after England-Brazil

He literally won the most important game of the brasileirão for palmeiras almost by himself, basically securing the title. He is used to pressure
Yes but you have to protect him. He losses a couple world cups and they hate him. Just let him be and judge him as time goes on
Yes Palmeiras Always do well in smaller tournaments. When it’s time to the champions of the world they always come up short. They had 3 chances and missed them all.
@@nstv23 As a Palmeiras fan myself, that is indeed untortunate, but the brazilian national league is very far from being a small tournament, come on. Brazil has 12 big traditional clubs, continental distances and the craziest game calendar in the world, brasileirão is arguably the most disputed national league.
He is hated and
@Maradona1986. boca jrs dont play in the BRAZILIAN league, nor did they shut him down since he barely played in that tie
Those that's bashing him only saw him play on the weekend, the dude literally helped palmerias win multiple titles in brazil.
3 titles being protagonist, 3 titles on career
That's funny coming from the Spain camp when they jump at the opportunity to call up the young boys at Barca every year

And casillas was La Fabrica product!! There were more Madrid players like Arbeloa and xabi alonso as well

Endrick will be fine. If he moved to spain without any brazilians on his side, I would have been worried for him, but he has many Brazilians playing with him and will help him adapt. And Bellingham leadership and Camavinga also seem to be extra friendly with everyone which will make Endrick life easier. Also he has a lot of young talent on his side. Maybe not as young as him, but few years apart isn't bad at all.
I couldn't agreed with you anymore well said👍🏾
He will learn a lot from mbappe in Madrid. He is in safe hands
@@ShakibHasan-nu7gc I hope he doesnt learn how to be a selfish player
@@tuchevera it's Madrid not paris. Mbappe can't do what ever he wants, Madrid will teach him discipline 😮💨
@ShakibHasan-nu7gc Mbappe is a piece of dirt. He's egotistic & too self-centered to help anyone but himself.
I hope he doesn't come to Madrid!
We don't need him anymore!
The pressure will be there sooner or later, the issue is how patient Endrick himself is in terms of dealing with the pressure. Also, Real Madrid fans can look at Rodrygo who has to play out of position & a different role for the team, yet Real Madrid fans don't have patience or understanding. Footballing culture, media & fans need to be more nuanced & patience.
Talk about your own club dont worry about Real Madrid
I'm a Real Madrid fan, and I'm patient. So, you're wrong.
See the problem with generalizing? Just calm down, and keep watching Real Madrid play.
I remember in the front of the English press: Rooney the new Pele!!
Endrick the next Pele, Bellingham the next Ballon d'Or, Donnarunma the next Buffon. I've gotten accustomed to it by now. Social media reels are to blame.
Bellingham the next zidane
Bellingham the next BD'Or is not like the rest, that one is an award lol not a player comparison. He can very well win the Dor if Madrid reach deep in UCL and England have a good Euros run

He isnt this kind of youngster
Decisive in 3 of them
Even when Messi was 17 years old they were pressuring him with the comparisons to Maradona, but now it seems like every prospect gets that kind of pressure and people hold them to their expectations.
He was still getting it up until the last world cup simply for not winning it
But endrick isnt getting any hormones
But that did Messi good he’s so much bigger than Maradona
He'll be fine. He grows in the sunshine.
Endrick 🏴 🤝 🇧🇷
Yes, it is too much pressure. It is ridiculous how carried away some people get on these young players. The kid has a ton of talent, but to put those expectations on him, is nonsense. Not for nothing, but the goal he scored, I could have scored. He was standing right in front of the goal and the ball came directly to him and he just kicked it in. I am an FC Barca fan and all I see from people about Lamine Yamal, and other young Barca talent is that they are the next Messi or going to be one of the all-time greats. Please stop. Leave them alone and let them develop on their own without you fan-boying all over them. All you are doing is setting them up to fail. The number of "wunderkinds" that were called the next great player and fizzled out are numerous. One minute they are the chosen ones by these people and the next minute they don't produce, they are tossed aside.
Yeah, like Ansu Fati. Those kind of young players are only one or two big injuries away from being relegated to irrelevance.
@@jaspionccv9426comparing Ansu to Endrick is kinda absurd tbh. Most europeans don't know his records.

The Spanish manager is absolutely right but am surprised how he concerned about opposition player
Protecting the la liga product he knows after he leaves the Spanish National team he wants to coach at Real protecting your future assets
Endrick usually grows on pressure
You dont get it. It's not us who are comparing him to Pele. We dont compare anyone to Pele. Easy like this. With soo little showed. We didnt say Neymar was Pele. It's Endrick very personal marketing team who are doing this. And he goes along. I don;t think people here thinks he is the new Pele.
Maybe De La Fuente has learned something finally. He still called up Lamine and Cubarsi.. They should be in Barca getting a breather. Atleast he used them off the bench instead of starting
Having to play against the best in the world, yea, you can question it.
But if anyone questions Endrick's ability to deal with "pressure" then they don't know ball LOL no game in europe can match the pressure of a south american derby
You know what’s so HYPOCRITICAL? The Barcelona press has called Cubarsi the new Beckenbauer and Jamal de new Messi. He’s CALLED both underage players. What about Brahim who has been WAITING since the Russia WC to play for Spain? He went to Morocco because the Spanish coach only plays guys from Barça and NOT from Madrid… 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
If he was a english player that wouldn't be the caption, you would've been talking about how good the player is and is gonna be the best in the world... so let Endrick shine and enjoy the moment
Brazilian here, Endrick said that he never trained legs at the gym.
😂😂
The same de la fuente that ruined pedri and Gavi? Glad he learned this lesson AFTER ruining the futures of 2 players :/
there's still time for him to ruin cubarsi.
Ronaldo Nazario was the real phenomenom early on, 1994 with 17 years old
Also the game has become less physical which allows for kids to showcase their technical abilities, and rightly the managers nowadays trust them more.
That's why footballers now are physically 100 times better... because the game is less physical...
You are absolutely correct! The game has gotten faster, more fit, and players are protected. If you view videos of Maradona, Baggio, or any top player from that era, they are getting assaulted with intent to break bones the entire game. By today's standards, the game would have to be abandoned due to red cards if those hits were still allowed. In years past, a player had to be magnitudes more durable to survive.
With how soft football has become, they don't have to be physically prepared for the same tackles players were facing in Craig's time..😅
Look who's talking, the guy who gave Yamal a call to national team after 1 game or 2. Gave Cubarsi a call after a game or two too. State of Spain & their corrupt system.
Same guy who convinced Pedri to play 2 national tournaments back to back, then played Gavi at every opportunity leading to an ACL tear. Guy wants to do the same as Pedri to Yamal and Cubarsi...
He’s talking in terms of expectations please 😢
Craig was absolutely spot on with his explanation.
Endrick was the best player, scoring 8 goals in the last 9 matches, of Plameiras 2023 brazilian league title campaing barely after turning 17. I know that for europeans this might not mean much, but its somethinh we've never seen. Hes the best 17 yo brazil has seen since Ronaldo (at least).
There’s a long list of guys who have been burned by this fire…Adriano, Pato, etc…the worst thing someone can do is hype them up.
Who would You prefer and think will have a better Career Endrick or Vitor Roque??
@Roman-yv3ye I think both are pretty even right now. Roque is older and was considered "a reality" already in brazilian football. Endrick may have a bit more raw potential, but he's like a step back in that process of showing that he can do the transition between "big promise" to "great player".
Like, don't be mistaken by Xavi screwing up the handling of Vitor Roque. Dude's called "Little Tiger" for a reason. He's a natural poacher.
Meanwhile Palmeiras simply wouldn't have won the Brazilian League without Endrick.
It's as a said. Could go either way right now, depending on A LOT of factors, but both are great talents.
@@manuelesoto23 i agree. The only point im making is that endrick is different from everyone of those. Also the level of professionalism and structure arround this kid far exceeds anything any other brazilian wonderkid has had like, ever
@@Roman-yv3yeEndrick playing for Madrid he can win 5 UCL, Barcelona is in a terrible moment.
😂 spain seemed worried doh but young plays get compared to lionel messi and cristiano ranaldo too often when they get recordnized doh 😂
Totally agree. Hate these comparisons all the time by the media
Times have changed, today's generations of youth players have it better with the facilities and experienceds players they get to play with.
so basically they the host confirmed that the spanish coach was not only being dis-ingenuine but projecting as well cause the way one of the host was explaining how he couldn't play on a talent and physical level with the big boys and him being younger than the coach says a lot. I can't imagine the talent for the coach was anywhere compared to this generation.
That’s why Craig Burley is commentating on ESPN at, because he could only play for the underage team at 16..
Curbarsi is 17 Craig.
It’s not just the pressure and the mental aspect of things, it’s the fact that Endrick, Lamal, all these young players are STILL KIDS! Their bodies aren’t done growing, they need to be handled carefully so they don’t have lifelong injury issues, on top of the mental demands of the game and professional play. I hope their coaches take it very seriously and see the responsibility they have to make sure these young men can grow up healthy and have long careers if they want.
O BRASIL SUSTENTA O FUTEBOL 🇧🇷
Coming to Madrid, with the structure built for young players, look at Vini and Rodrygo, Endrick will be just fine.
These young players are change but if u see Pele before when he turn 18 he already has 11 goals for the Seleçao.
Very convenient ESPN…..
When it’s a Barcelona player you are the one pushing the expectations and praising them and you’re the first ones to talk bad about them when they don’t continue to perform
When it’s a VARdrid player you try to manage the expectations and protect them just in case they cry to the media that it’s too much pressure again
Typical ESPN narrative 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I don’t think they understand the streets a lot of our boys come from in Brazil. Feeling this type of pressure is not only easy it is their dream
Hendricks only had one thing to do. A tap in. Hard to say he’s going to be a football genius.
De La Fuente is completely right. There is too much hype around the boys that is unnecessary. They need time to demonstrate their talents and consistency to stay there. More importantly Endrick is Endrick, Jude is Jude, Jamal is Jamal etc that's who they are. Let them create their own name and career. I remember the hype around Cleverly that he is the new Scholes and the list goes on for English players and others.
Hope he is gonna be great, but I have already seen such a situation a couple times. we had better go easy on him.
Let’s not forget this is all a business. The greats are created by putting them under that pressure and seeing if they can live up to the expectations. The ones that crack aren’t meant to be there and that’s the cut throat business of football. The owners and sponsors are paying good good money to sponsor and promote a good young player who could potentially become a great.
So it's not only the english media hype.
It turned out every other country's media hype, too. 😂 🤣
Yup, kid gets compared to pele but no apparently it’s just the English who praise their players😂
ESPN talking about him puts more pressure
The game is also less physical contact. The players are more protected now. So a teenager can go up against grown men.
Cap, there’s just VAR now goofy a lot of guys got away with bad challenges. N defenders are way faster n stronger.
Definitely too much. People remember the age Pele was and thats why the pressure is high. No o e put the same pressure on rodrygo and Vini. Not even R9 got the same pressure.
7:56 That's bars!
You guys overhype young players like Pau Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal way too much
Burley talking about talented players not making it because they can't deal with the mental side, but there's also the problem of nepotism. Only 1 of my age group made it pro, was nowhere near the best in the year, but had a father with lots of contacts to get him his contract.
17 and scoring 2 goals out of 4 friendly games against pros. U tell me😂
Mbappe joining Real Madrid is lowkey a blessing for Endrick, all the pressure is off. He gets to takes his time to develop like Rodrygo did. That’s why I’m always complaining whenever Xavi doesn’t start Raphinha ahead of Yamal, these youngsters need time and patience
Yamal is better imo. And i am a real madrid fan.
Yamal got the penalty, which, imo wasn't a penalty, but Yamal played amazing in the first half vs. Brazil.
Spain's future would've been in great hands if they hadn't pissed off Brahim.
What a darn shame!
@@davidkattan1275yamal is also only 16 n to be playing that many mins with how many games there is now can lead to overloads. I think that’s where some of us fans don’t realize with ancelloti n how slow he’s taking arda. IMO is great but at the same time he should be getting at least 30 mins every now and then.

So lets wait.
Nobody was talking about endrick until this weekend. ESPN doesn't have much to talk about. Plus endrric wasn't killing it in Brazil this year

Keep an eye on Italy's 16 year old phenom Camarda. He will be the future of the Azzurri!
Pafundi is Italy real star . He is 17 and should be on senior team . Italy never plays young talents like other nations . Pafundi is their best young talent
@@clarencegaultieri8293Yeah, Italian players usually age like fine wine.

Brasil have a long record of overhyping players. I don't trust these guys

Too much pressure on and strain on the young lads play these days
People are calling him new Pele. This after scoring one goal against England. Is this justified?

Yeah sure... Like Giggs, Owen and McManaman were very muscular....
"Superstars all over the place"
Dear Craig,
There are no Superstars in today's football. The last generation of superstars are within the age bracket of Kroos and the youngest of them being KDB. Fooball is dead. Bellingham is good, but if he was in tha midfield of Zidane, Guti, Figo, Makelele, he'd seem average. A top class player is an elite player in the midst of average players. Modric is in his last legs, but the gulf in class between him and the other youngsters (in terms of technicality and breathtaking quality) is incredible.
So how do you define a superstar then? Someone who doesn't look out of place with Zidane and Figo?
@@rohithraman6488 he is not wrong on what he is saying. He is just saying mediocrity or average players is, today, considered to be world class players.
The media is too big now and they hype up everyone.
The previous era's had so much more quality as compared to today.
It seems like players today also have quality, it is just that they do not have the same desire to work hard and achieve mastery because they receive too much money and it is so easy to become famous nowadays, due to the widespread media coverage and people all over the world have accessibility to watch games.
@@hsafootballworld1321 On the flip side, do you think if some of the greats of the past played in this modern day robotic system based game, that they wouldn't look as impressive we know them to be?
