Thank you Jay, you're very kind. Yeah the S5 is so amazing man, I was really knocked backed when I viewed this footage and this system just made everything so easy when shooting.
Your idea of changing the anamorphic flare color with the streak filter is very interesting.. but in practice, it won’t work well, because a streak filter doesn’t flare the same way as an anamorphic lens. A streak filter adds a line streak on every single light source in the image. If your camera is perfectly still (tripod), the K2 is perfectly leveled AND all the lights happen to be perfectly aligned horizontally in the frame (which will rarely happen.. maybe never), then yes it would result in a single thick streak… but as soon as the camera moves, and/or multiple lights aren’t perfectly aligned horizontaly in the frame, each one of them will produce it’s own streak and it will be all over the place. You’ll also get both flare color in your image, and probably some green as a result. It’s an interesting look for sure.. but not like an anamorphic lens for sure. If you really want to change the color of your anamorphic lens flare, you better do it in post IMO. Excellent review btw, and I am receiving mine TODAY… I’m literaly waiting in front of the window! 😂
