I do MMA and man this channel is sooooooo helpful! You've literally helped my technique so much more. The emphasis on position and balance in your stance has opened up way more doors for me. Not just with the hand but also knees, kicks, and takedowns too. Appreciate you! Watching from Los Angeles!
Me too - No long intro or needless talk also it’s the technicality that made me press thumbs up the slow no rush go through as if you were standing there with him
thanks for your great advice and short and simple, straight to the point videos as always coach! i really enjoyed this video especially because you included clips where you and the other coach were laughing and having fun together, would love to see more of that, it made the video more down to earth, which is something i associate you and your team with. much love !!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
first time Im glad to be a lefty. Thank you for showing the left hand version. Its so confusing flipping it in my mind. The double liver shot looks ideal!! Horay!!! I finally got registered to your free skool!!
@@int0the3p1t32 Yeah, I was wondering about the degree of vulnerability I would be in. I've only had 3 lessons so far. Im just learning to throw punches. Learning to anticipate the opponent is a whole different level, Im not in that frame of mind yet. There's a lot to master. But its good to hear everything. It will pull together and sink in as I advance in training. Situational awareness is a developed skill.
@@int0the3p1t32 Yeah, I saw that. I just started boxing, only 3 lessons so far. Im just learning proper form for punching. These Hybrid Warrior lessons prepare my mind and body for the real thing. When those lessons come up I catch on faster because my head is already familiar with that move.
Though I understand your point of not leaning your body before throwing liver shot for surprise element, but how about you keep leaning to both side throughout the match? That way, it will still make your opponent unable to guess if you are going for head or body, especially if you target both beforehand. And, it will add more power to the shot when you decide to throw it, don't you think?
I need some drills to fix my stance. My feet are in line to much . Both heels and toes are in line parallel. It’s proper wonky looking. Have you got a drill for it?
Question, why use a shovel uppercut and not just a stiff jab for the liver shot? a stiff jab would be longer range and would require less set up right?
Because the liver is mostly under the ribcage. You do it in a shovel motion so it the force moves like 45° diagonally upwards to the liver, but you still hit the unprotected "soft" part. If you hit 90° where the liver is you would hit the ribcage which protects the liver. You try to avoid that by doing the shovel

The left handed version is receiving the orthodox right uppercut. The angle is actually more exposed due orthodox/southpaw dynamic

Because you won't hit the liver with a jab unless change angles. Idk
